The Lantern Church Merley

Call Directions Website

The Lantern Church Merley The Lantern is a lively Anglican church (part of the Canford Magna Team), just south of Wimborne Minster, Dorset. and we pray will continue, into the future.

Right from the beginning in 1976 the lantern has been “buzzing”. Literally thousands of children and teenagers have heard about God through the youth work, and countless folks have come closer to God through great services, great people and the blessings from our great God. The ripples from this community of faith keep flowing out, and we pray will continue, into the future.

At the beginning of a fresh week, it's so good to remind ourselves of all that God has done for us.

What a joy it was to gather together yesterday and be in God's presence! It was so good to lift Jesus' name on high at the evening New W**e celebration with local churches.

We loved hearing from Ben Griffiths about this upcoming, exciting opportunity to unite in mission in 2027.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

On a Monday morning, it’s easy to look at the week forward and instantly feel overwhelmed by your to-do list, your schedule or your worries. But here is your reminder as you step into the week: your worth isn’t tied to how much you achieve by Friday.

Jesus invites us to step out of the rush and find real rest, peace and grace for today. He is walking right through this week with you.
