We are delighted to share that The Very Revd Simon Robinson has been named as the next Bishop of Warrington.

This morning, it was announced that His Majesty The King has approved Simon’s nomination, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his ministry and in the life of our Diocese.

Speaking about his appointment, Simon reflected:

“When I first read the paperwork for the new Bishop of Warrington’s role, a literal fire burst into flame in my stomach. That fire has not gone out and grows stronger every day as I pray and prepare to move and take up this new role.

I am excited and daunted by what God has drawn me to next. I really do look forward to listening to and learning from the very many people of Warrington and the Diocese of Liverpool as we live and tell the story of Jesus Christ together.”

As Simon begins this journey towards joining us, we hold him in our prayers, giving thanks for his calling, and praying that he will know God’s peace, strength and encouragement in the months ahead.

We look forward to welcoming him warmly to the Diocese of Liverpool, as together we continue the mission of sharing the hope of Jesus Christ in our communities.

This is a gentle, welcoming space for anyone who would like to reflect, ask questions, or simply experience the story of Easter in a new way.

Dear Chapelfields Church Member,

Confirmation within Chapelfields will be held on Sunday 14th June 2026, at 3pm in St Nathaniel’s Church, Platt Bridge.
We are very keen to support any child in year 6 or older, or any adult, that wishes to be confirmed, thus confirming the promises made at their baptism.
If you, or your child, wishes to be confirmed, or even just to explore what it means, please let us know via email. We will need the adult or child’s full name, school (if applicable) and contact details (mobile number and email address).
Please forward the information to: [email protected]
We will then contact you and invite you to 4 sessions. These will be held from 4.00-5.15 pm on Tuesdays 28th April, 5th May, 12th May and 19th May, venue to be confirmed. The confirmation rehearsal will be on Tuesday 2nd June. The closing date for expressions of interest is 6th March 2026, after which we will contact all interested parties with more information.

anyone facing challenges with drugs and/or alcohol.
We understand that everyone’s needs and circumstances are different. We’ll work with you
on your own goals, whether that’s cutting down your drug or alcohol use, stopping
completely or getting some helpful advice.
We understand that sometimes it is might be difficult to get to Coops or Kennedy House for
an assessment or you may not want to complete an assessment over the phone, so we have
created various community assessment clinics to help you to speak to a member of our team
to get advice, information and to complete an assessment for our service to help you start
your recovery journey.
