ASSEMBLY BANGERS LIVE: RETRO HYMN NIGHT!
Get ready for a massive hit of primary school nostalgia! Whether you remember reading the lyrics off a giant overhead projector or singing along from a battered hymn book, it’s time to dust off those vocal cords and belt out the absolute classics that defined our childhoods.

The ‘Murmuration’ is finished. It looks great! Come and join us for free cake and fizz at its opening and meet the artist Brian Whitmore on the 30th August. The normal Sunday service starts at 11:00am followed by the unveiling from 12 until 2. Keep your eye on this page for other opportunities to see the display. We will hopefully opening the church over the next few months for visitors as well as our normal church services. We look forward to seeing old and new faces ⛪️ 🕊️ 🕊️

A massive thank you to Mike for bringing the foundation stone back to life. Most people wouldn’t even know it was there. Well they will now! It’s looking great for 150 years old! I bet your knees hurt Mike. 🤔

First day of the art installation. Thank you to the wonderful volunteers who have helped so far especially Susan Whittle who has visited as many community groups as she could to make the paper birds. Also thanks to Barry at Mira maintenance and renovation ltd for the scaffolding. We could do it without any of you.

So many lovely things coming up that have been organised by the events planning team on behalf of Rev Steve Beck. Please see the posters below a quiz, free cake and fizz event to launch the unveiling of the art installation and a fellowship lunch after the harvest festival service. We would love to see you all! If you have thought about coming to church whether you are an old friend or new, it would be great to see you. Everyone is very welcome. Did I mention free cake and fizz 😂😂😂

We have a lot of things planned for the next twelve months to celebrate 150 years since the foundation stone was laid at St Elizabeth’s. On the 30th August we start with the unveiling of the art installation ‘Murmuration’ by local artist Brian Whitmore. 500 paper birds have been created by the community and will be used in the display. Church service at 11:00 am followed by free cake and fizz. We would love to see you all, old and new friends of the church.
