Today marks the fifth anniversary since Fr John Kearns CP. A Priest whose Passionist Spirituality shone through and devoted a lot of time and effort not just to St Mary’s but to St John’s, St Patrick’s and other churches in Wigan.
He was also a prison chaplain at HMP Hindley.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and let Your perpetual light shine upon him.

The Lord is waiting for you!! Eucharistic Adoration until 10pm. Spend time with Jesus, truly and wholly present in the Blessed Sacrament.
There is also adoration tomorrow.

GOOD FRIDAY - Following Stations of the Cross at Midday there was veneration of the relic of the True Cross of Our Lord. At 3pm there will be the Solemn Liturgy of the Passion celebrated by Fr. Thomas Clarke. All are most welcome 🙏

Today is the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes.
As many of us know our late Fr Johnson had a deep love of Lourdes and made many and frequent pilgrimages there. Offering Holy Mass, hearing confessions, assisting and anointing the sick and always providing people with a smile with his quick wit and jokes on the journeys.
Perhaps sometime today offer a quick 'Ave' for the repose of his soul.
