THANK YOU, CANON MACNALLY!
Our sincere thanks to Canon MacNally, former Parish Priest of St Jude’s and St Aidan’s, for donating this beautiful Celtic chasuble and matching stole to St Patrick’s. The vestments were handmade a number of years ago. We are very grateful for this generous gift and remember with gratitude all those who donated and made them.

ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT AND BENEDICTION: TUESDAYS 6.15pm–7.15pm – AN HOUR WITH OUR LORD.

Adoration of Our Lord truly present in the Blessed Sacrament places Jesus at the very heart of our community and helps to strengthen and deepen our faith in this wonderful gift. It is often a powerful source of renewal in parishes that embrace it.

Here at St Patrick’s Church, we have an hour of Adoration every Tuesday from 6.15pm until Benediction at 7:10pm. Holy Mass will follow at 7.30pm, with an opportunity for Confessions afterwards.

Our Wednesday evening Mass will be reinstated from this week, Wednesday 9th September. Mass will be celebrated at 7:30pm, with an opportunity for Confessions afterwards.

QUARANT’ORE – FORTY HOURS OF EUCHARISTIC ADORATION

We warmly invite you to join us for forty continuous hours of devotion before Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, beginning at 5am on Saturday 19th September and continuing through the day and night until 9pm on Sunday 20th September.

The Church will remain open throughout the day and night for those who wish to come and spend time in prayer and quiet reflection before the Lord.

A watching list is available at the back of the Church. If you are able, please consider signing up for an hour so that we can ensure there is always someone keeping watch with Our Lord.

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP

Thank you to everyone who attended the first meeting of our Parish Bereavement Support Group. It was a lovely opportunity to come together, share conversation and reflection and support one another following the loss of a loved one.

Our next meeting will be at 7.00pm on Wednesday 7th October in the Lappin Room at St Patrick’s Presbytery.

If you feel comfortable doing so, please bring a photograph of your loved one to the next meeting. This can provide a gentle opportunity to remember and share something about the person we have lost.

The Group, facilitated by Nicola Disley of R Banks and Sons Funerals, provides a safe and supportive space for anyone who has experienced bereavement.
