Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

At Mass this morning we celebrated the great solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Fr. Paul led the congregation in the Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart and we were joined by the children from Year 4, St. Mary and St. John primary school.

We were also joined by Fr. John, who con celebrated the Mass , following a period of convalescence. Welcome back Fr. John!

Over the remaining three weeks, the themes for the Taizé services will be:

24th June-Remain Here And Keep Watch
1st July-The Risen Christ Breathes New Life

PONDERING AND PRAYING VATICAN II:

Pope Leo XIV has called the People of God to re-engage with the documents of Vatican II. Here in the parish we have responded to this call and are holding a series of reading and reflection sessions continuing this evening, Thursday 11th June.

The session will be held in the Campbell Room at St John's on Thursdays 7-8pm. Tea and coffee will be available from 6.45pm
