I am pleased to announce that due to the kind generosity of a number of people within our church and within the Billinge community we have now raised the £1900 to have the church clock repaired
We will be instructing the company this week.
In addition we were given a nearly new petrol mower which has made such a difference and made life easier for Peter Preston
God bless

ST AIDAN'S CHURCH
Many of you may not know but our Church is a grade 2 listed building. Inside is the war memorial listing all the Billinge people who lost their lives in ww1 and 2. The organ was paid for and donated by Billingers in remembrance of those who lost their lives in Ww1.

The upkeep of the Church and all the land is paid for by our congregation. We do not get any grants. We do not get any money from the Church of England itself. Our congregation give freely of their own money to keep the church going

As many of you may know the clock has not worked for some time and we have had many complaints about this.

Well the simple fact is that we just do not have the funds and I cannot keep going back to our congregation.

It will cost £2000 to have it repaired and in addition we are also in need of a new petrol mower to look after the church yard again another area that people complain about but is looked after by volunteers.

We are desperately in need of donations. As many of you know we do our are best to make sure our church family and the building is part of the community but we now need some help.

Any donation would be welcome to help with these.

You can do this by typing in St Aidan's on your search engine. Scroll down to where it says a church near you and then you will see St Aidan's. Click on this and scroll down until you see donate . Click on that if you are a tax payers please gift aid then sign in as guest.

Bank transfer 602402 04035135 Billinge St Aidan's Pcc marked clock

Or drop a donation in cash marked clock with my name on or pass it on to one of our senior church members.

I hope you realise that this is a last resort but if the clock is to be repaired and we need to maintain the graveyard we really need some help.

God bless

I am so proud of all our volunteers at Aidan's pantry.

Yet again this Easter we have been able to distribute through our three schools 53 food parcels to help families during a long school holiday. All parcels included 2 Easter eggs which have been donated by our lovely congregation who give so generously, The Eagle and personal friends and family.

Thank you and God bless everyone this Easter.

For those who come to the pantry and cafe it will be closed next Friday as we will be having a special Good Friday service at 10.00 a.m.

Everyone welcome .

Easter Sunday family service which includes Easter eggs hunt in church for the children. I am sure we will give some for the adults as well.

Aidan's pantry will again be providing approximately 50 food parcels to families in Billinge at Easter. All these families have children as they are distributed through the three schools in Billinge
At Christmas we also put in selection boxes that were donated.
I am hoping to put in each parcel an Easter egg. Many of these families are working families but have difficult financial decisions to make.
I am therefore asking for donations of Easter eggs.
I cannot tell you how such a small luxury as this goes down well.
They can be dropped off in church every Friday 11-1 when pantry open or at Sunday services
God bless
