This evening we have the wonderful merseywavemusic in concert at St Mary's. Come and join us for some music from across the decades.

Tickets are £5 on the door. Doors open at 7pm and the concert starts at 7.30pm.

There will also be refreshments and a raffle.

Thank you to Carol and Wallace the dog who dropped off 252 poppies today that have been knitted by friends from St John Fisher, St Bede's, and St Michaels in the Parish of St Wilfrid, Widnes

We have had another 600+ poppies delivered to us throughout today and we are, as ever, so thankful for everyone's support.

⭐ Special visitors today!⭐

Our Knit and Natter group were treated to some very special visitors this morning - Pete, Chris and Andrew, three members of the 2026 National Conference Wheelchair Grand Final Winning team.

We got to show them our Poppy Cascade in progress, and Andrew shared a bit about the Wheelchair Rugby League and how the team this year have won the domestic treble and made history! What a team, what an achievement🏅🏅🏅

What a wonderful morning in church! 🙏✨

Today we celebrated 'Back to School Sunday' praying for our children, young people, teachers and school staff, families, and everyone stepping into a new season. 🎒📚

We also had a special Bag Blessing, praying over all our bags - from school backpacks to work bags and handbags - and all that we carry with us each day. ❤️🙏

We reflected on Ephesians 6 which encourages us to put on the Armour of God and to stand strong in faith, trusting that God is with us. 🛡️⚔️

Praying for a blessed season ahead for us all! 🙏🏼✨

What a fantastic first Sew and Sip evening we had at St Mary's last night. There was lots of chatting and laughter as we worked together on our poppy cascade project ♥️

Why not come and join us next Friday 7-9pm for an evening of friendship and community spirit. All welcome.

🎒Back to School Sunday🎒

Join us at St Mary's this Sunday at 11am for Back to School Sunday – an all-age service for the whole family.

Bring along your backpack, book bag or school bag and we’ll pray for all our children and young people as they begin another year of learning, growing and making friends.

Whether they’re starting nursery or school for the very first time or heading back for another year, everyone is welcome. And any grown-ups who could do with a little blessing for the year ahead, you are very welcome too! 😉

⭐ No Knit & Natter group today ⭐

Happy Bank Holiday Monday all! Our team are taking a break today so there is no knit and natter this morning. But coffee morning is on as usual tomorrow from 9.30am so do come and join us for a brew and some toast!

From next Monday, knit and natter will be on Monday evenings as well as in the morning. We will meet from 7-9pm every Monday night. All welcome.
