Genesis 9:13-17
13 I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. 14 It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; 15 and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16 The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.” 17 And God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth.”

What a lovely wedding service we enjoyed this summer! It is always a joy when we see people committing to one another and making their vows before God.It was wonderful to see so many guests come along to celebrate with the happy couple, filling the church with love and support. A special thank you to our organist and choir for the beautiful music and to our bellringers for the magnificent bells that filled the air. Please join us in wishing the newlyweds a lifetime of love and blessings together!

We enjoyed another outdoor gathering this week at St Bartholomew’s as we joined together for our benefice picnic. The sun was shining and the cows in the neighbouring field were curious as to what was happening. We had different activities including decorating a pebble that represented each one of us as we explored our part in being church.

What a joyful Pet Service at Doynton this week! We reflected on the beauty and blessing of God’s creation and were encouraged to care for it with the same generous love God shows us.
Midnight the hen, born on Easter Monday, stole the show by laying a beautiful warm egg — one of her first! Eggstremely good timing! 🐔🥚

Rocket the rescue horse, originally from Wild Rescue Horses, graced us with her presence as we heard how lovingly she is cared for. We also welcomed Alfie, Sharky, Penny, Lottie, Zola and Skye and other treasured pets. Thank you to everyone who brought their precious companions and shared their stories! ❤️
