Dear Peter. Such a privilege to have known you and been welcomed in to your spiritual home St Peter’s Church Whitstable. One loving Christian man, who walked the walk and was always encouraging. Churchwarden Emeritus. The Church of England Inclusive Church Diocese of Canterbury

Always a high point in the year to gather Peter’s before processing to Reeves Beach for the Blessing of the Waters, via Starvation point where we give thanks for the hard work of the merchant navy during the 1939-1945 war, and remember those who were killed, injured or bereaved. We rejoice in the many generations who have prayed for our waters and those who work and play there, including Pilots! Thank you to everyone who was involved, especially our friends in the 1st Whitstable Scout Group Band.

All welcome this weekend as we celebrate Dr Julie’s Ordination and reflect on Scripture in the light of the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of the USA.

As Sir Keir Starmer prepares to leave office, I’m grateful for his service to our country and his leadership in a time of great challenges at home and abroad. As always I pray for all those who put themselves forward for public service, and I wish Keir Starmer and his family well in this period of transition.
