The word "bless" in Bible is translated from the Hebrew word barak (诇讘专讱) The Hebrew word for "bless", barak, is comprised of the Hebrew letters BET (the equivalent of our letter "B"), represented in the ancient pictographs as a house or tent, meaning house, as in lineage - e.g. "the house of David". RESH (R), pictured as the head of a man, and meaning the first or highest person. KAPH (K), pictured as the palm of a hand, meaning to bow or bless.
The Hebrew word translated "blessed" is "Baruch" (the masculine form) and "B'rucha" (the feminine).
To be "blessed" means:
1.consecrated; sacred; holy; sanctified: the Blessed Sacrament.
2.
worthy of adoration, reverence, or worship: the Blessed Trinity.
3.
divinely or supremely favored; fortunate: to be blessed with a strong, healthy body; blessed with an ability to find friends.
4.
blissfully happy or contented.
and also MY FAVOURITE: to experience "bliss from heaven".
Have a blessed SABBATH everyone! :)
