Holy Mass for the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, the Octave of Christmas will be offered at St Benedict’s, Whinlatter Rd, Mirehouse at 12noon on 1st January 2025.

❗️ IMPORTANT NOTICE. We are currently experiencing significant outbreaks of flu at our West Cumberland Hospital and Cumberland Infirmary sites. To safeguard our patients we are restricting all visiting except for maternity, paediatric, end of life and the most critical cases. Please avoid routine visits to friends and relatives for any other reason.
Please also remember that our A&E departments are for the most serious cases. Please consider alternatives such as your GP, pharmacist or the NHS 111service for less serious conditions.

St Mary’s, Kells. Heating: alas it is going to cost just under £20K to replace our current wall heaters which were recently condemned! All donations and help will be gratefully appreciated as we hope to have a warm church once again. We are indebted to St Mary’s CMS Club for accommodating us for Sunday Mass at 10 am while this issue is resolved.
