Over the coming weeks our Sunday meeting will focus on Paul's letter to the Philippians.
Today the key verse is chapter 1 v9
"And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight."
We were reminded that, in our Christian journey we need to grow in love, in knowledge, in understanding and in purity.

You are welcome to Whitehaven Mission Community Easter events.

On Monday to Friday of Holy Week we meet at The Salvation Army for breakfast and reflection on the Psalms of ascent from 8.30am to 9.30am.

Good Friday United worship outside St Nicholas Church at 12.00 noon.

Easter Sunday walkabout service starts at St Nicholas Church at 3.00pm, walking through town and reaching St James Church for Songs of Praise at 4.00pm

You are also welcome to join any of our Churches over Easter.

It has been good to share in worship with members of other Churches in the Whitehaven Mission Community to conclude the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity under the theme of One Body One Spirit. During the service we considered what our part of the body we are and added names of those in our community and churches to the prayer wall.

Join us today at 3pm for our monthly Cafe worship. We will be joined by members of other Churches in Whitehaven to celebrate the end of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.

As we approach the end of 2025, with the opportunity of a few days to recharge the batteries, we reflect on a busy Christmas period:

Spreading the message of Christmas through carol services and carol singing in residential homes and in the street.

Spreading the love of Christmas by providing Christmas presents and food to families in and around Whitehaven.

This year the requests for support has more than doubled previous years. We have provided gifts and vouchers for 167 individuals and food parcels and vouchers for 83 families.
