Beautiful photos taken yesterday evening. The D-day exhibition is still on in the gardens today until 4pm. St. Nicholas Centre Cafe is open until 1:30.

In addition to our normal opening times on Thursday the 6th, St. Nicholas Centre cafe will be open for takeaway drinks from 6:30pm - 9pm.

To mark the anniversary of D Day, Whitehaven Town Council are hosting an exhibition in a Marquee in St Nicholas Gardens from Monday 3rd to Friday 7th June. On the evening of the 6th June the exhibition will be open until 21:30 and the town will mark the events in line with the national guidelines. At 18:30 the churches of town will be pealing their bells. At 20:30 the Town Crier will read the official Provlamation in St Nicholas Gardens, followed by a bagpiper lament to a fallen hero. At 21:00 their will be a reading of a message and at 21:15 the official Beacon will be iluminated in the gardens. We will also be lighting St Nicholas Tower in red white and Blue for the Thursday and Friday evenings. Toddler Church today, 2pm tp 3pm in St James' Community Centre. We always meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month, and when there is a 5th Tuesday, we also meet. Hope to see you there.
