This evening in the gardens of St. Nicholas Centre. If the weather is bad (as it normally is) then we will be inside.

World Su***de Prevention Day takes place this Thursday (10 September).

Every Life Matters will be hosting candle lighting events across Cumbria, offering an opportunity to remember loved ones, support those affected by su***de, and come together in hope and solidarity.

Events begin from 7.30pm

Coffee morning at St. Nicholas Centre

The Mother' Union Communion service was held at St Nicholas on Tuesday. We were pleased to welcome Ann Wodeman, Diocesan President to tell us about the work of MU, both past and present.
Gwen Birket, the Archdeaconary Lead was also there and she present Whitehaven MU with the Silver Rise Up Award, for raising awareness of domestic abuse.
And finally two new members were admitted to the MU, Elaine and Helen, and Yvonne was welcomed to the Whitehaven Branch.
