Dear All - So so far I have helped spring clean the kitchen, cleared the greenhouse of the tomato plants, done some weeding and pruning around the chapel and now I am clearing the moss and leaves around the property (could take me a while!) and all in-between working 2 night shifts a week and I have/am loving helping out whenever I can to get the place ready to open to guests in November. But most of all I have loved the love, welcome and fellowship/friendship that I have received from Jackie, Paul plus Michlya and Simon (the new St Oswalds community) since the sisters left here on Oct 1st. I have also enjoyed great hospitality around the dining table, when I have been welcomed in with open arms to share the food, laughter and fun of the new community. The worship in the chapel has been wonderful, a time of offering prayers for those we know personally in need of prayer and for this many world’s needs at the moment. Jackie, Paul and Michlya have made Cuthbert lodge into a wonderful home for me for the next six months. This is still a small house with a VERY BIG HEART. Completing the NVQ Care Assistant qualification has been delayed a bit, due to the COVID restrictions but I am confident that I will eventually get there. Meanwhile I am delighted that I can still work in the care sector and look after others whilst working towards a qualification in this area. I am working the next two nights. This evening I pray for all those who look after others and for all students. Wishing you a very peaceful Holy night SG xx
