On this day, in 1536, William Tyndale was executed for producing
an English translation of the Bible.
Give thanks today for his work, and for his faithful stand in ensuring everyone in England had access to a Bible in their native tongue.

**Prayer of the Day**

God of all times and seasons, we bring to you those many young people who find themselves in places of transition to new schools, new colleges, new universities and new vocations.

We ask for your protection and care as they adjust to their new situations. Help them make the right choices and right friendships.

Give to us who care for them an assurance that you will always walk with them so we might let them go and grow as your children.

Amen.
