Jesus Walking on Water - Matthew 14:22–33

Twelve disciples in a boat
Doubting it would float
Master had left them alone
Drifting the seas in a storm
Then they saw a figure
Slowly getting bigger
A spirit, they fear
but that's not what they hear
Jesus, walking on water
Saying 'Have faith, don't falter.'
Peter leaps to his feet
'If it be thou, me bid! '
The boat rolled from side to side
The wind howled hard
'Come, ' beckoned Jesus
Peter focused his eyes on Christ
Stepped out into the unknown
He with his faith alone
One step, then two
Amazed at what he could do
But the waves and wind made him shake
Made his faith quake
His feet slipped under the water's surface
Suddenly fear struck; he was lost
He was being swallowed by the sea

'Jesus! ' he cried, 'Save me! '
Jesus caught him, 'Why did you doubt? '

Join us at St. Nicholas Church, 7pm for 7.30pm on Saturday 12th September, for an evening of mystery, intrigue, laughter & great food.
The Owermoigne TOADS Arts & Drama Society proudly present a 'B***y Romp Through Elizabethan Times & a Shakespearean(-ish) Murder'.
Tickets £27.50 p.p. which includes a delicious three course meal (vegetarian option available) by Dorset caterers Sprout & Woodruff.
There is a Cash Bar.

A huge thank you to all 90 of you who came to The Dorset Wrecks Charity concert last night. £900 was raised in ticket sales of which half will go to the National Coastwatch Portland Bill.
It was so lovely to hear your positive feedback & saying how much you all enjoyed it
A special 'Thank You' to The Dorset Wrecks for giving their time once again & we're looking forward to your return next year for another concert.

Expect a jolly good time with their fun & wondrous shanties! Tickets be 10 doubloons a piece (£10), and half o' the b***y collected will go to National Coastwatch - Portland Bill. There'll be grog aplenty at the bar, too. If ye want passage aboard, let Susana know, and we'll be lookin' forward to seein' ye there!
