🚶‍♀️🚲 RIDE + STRIDE 2026 – DISCOVER DORSET’S CHURCHES PLUS BELL RINGING! ⛪🌿

On Saturday 12th September, St Andrew’s Church will be taking part in Dorset Ride + Stride, organised by the Dorset Historic Churches Trust.

Why not make a day of it? ❤️
There are lots of beautiful churches taking part across Dorset, giving you the perfect opportunity to walk or cycle between some of our county’s loveliest historic churches, while raising money for both your own church and the Dorset Historic Churches Trust.

Plan your own route, or follow all or part of our suggested route, which is around 5 miles.

💷 Get sponsored!
Ask friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you – every donation helps support our wonderful historic churches.

🥐 Start with breakfast!
St Edmund’s Church will be serving a healthy breakfast from 9am–11am.

On the same day, we’ll be welcoming a visiting team of bell ringers, who will be ringing our historic bells from 11am. It’s a wonderful opportunity to hear the bells ringing and see our ancient bell tower in action!

⛪ Whether you fancy taking part in Ride + Stride, want to hear the bells, or have simply been meaning to visit our beautiful 14th-century church… Saturday 12th September is the perfect day to come along!

Come and explore, enjoy the day, support our churches – and maybe discover a few hidden gems along the way! 💚

☕✨ Join us for Café Church next Sunday, 6th September ✨☕

What is Café Church???
Here, we gather not in rows, but around tables — just as Jesus often gathered with His friends, His followers, and even strangers.
We come with our coffee, our conversations, our questions, and our hopes.
This is a place where faith is shared, stories are told, and God’s presence is found in the ordinary moments of life.
So, you can take a deep breath, settle in, and know that you are welcome here — just as you are!
So now you know, why not give it a go and come along next Sunday, to the Church Rooms, opposite St Andrew’s Church, Preston (DT3 6BU).

🥐 From 9:15am, we'll begin with delicious light refreshments, served at the start of the service, so you can enjoy breakfast as we worship together in an informal and welcoming atmosphere.
💛 Breakfast is completely free (although donations are always appreciated).
⏰ Starts: 9:15am
⌛ Duration: Around 50 minutes

Whether you're a regular churchgoer, haven't been for years, or are simply curious, you'll receive a very warm welcome.
