We held our first Taste and See session this Sunday at 11am which we entitled Pilgrimage - everyone was encouraged to walk round 6 stations in the Church and spent a moment or two in prayer or undertook a fun activity.

One of our lay readers did a great job preparing this for us all to enjoy. This Sunday 9th August is Week 2 - Sing Praise, we hope you can all join us.

Wow! Over £10,000 has now been raised.

What an incredible moment! 💙

Thanks to the amazing generosity of so many people, The Hiking Organist has now reached its original fundraising target of £10,000! 🙌💙

From everyone who donated, attended one of the recitals, welcomed us into churches along the White Rose Way, walked part of the journey, shared our posts, offered encouragement or simply followed the adventure – thank you. Every act of kindness has helped make this possible. ❤️

🥾 104 miles walked
🎹 6 organ recitals
⛪ 6 wonderful churches
💙 Countless memories
🎉 £10,000 raised!

But this isn’t quite the finish line…

While £10,000 is an incredible achievement, it will fund just over six months of the Leeds Minster Choral Scholarship Programme. These scholarships help talented young singers flourish, enrich worship at the Minster and invest in the next generation of church musicians. 🎶✨

This challenge has always been about much more than walking 104 miles. It’s been about people, music, community, friendship and investing in the future. ❤️
