Beloved today marks the end of the month of February 2021. As the month is passing away this day with its incomplete state so shall everything that is incomplete in your lives pass away in Jesus mighty name; and as the month is least amongst its others, I decree that whatever has not made you to be equal to your peers as you desire shall come to end today in Jesus mighty name. As you look forward to seeing the in- coming month, the month of March 2021 the Lord shall make it a reality and triumphantly you and all yours shall see it in Jesus mighty name . Good morning and God bless you all.

We all experience storms—persecutions, financial troubles, illnesses, disappointments, loneliness—and Jesus does not always prevent them. But He has promised never to leave us nor forsake us (Heb. 13:5). He will keep us calm in the storm.

Are you in a storm? What do you know about God’s character that could help bring calm to your heart?
In the storms of life, we can see the character of our God.

Sunday Sermon:
24th September, 2015

TOPIC:Understanding the biblical perspective of the power of forgiveness

Matthew 6:11-15.
Hebrew 9:22
Our Lord Jesus did forgive; preached forgiveness; showed and taught us forgiveness.
Matthew 18:7 - it is certain we will be exposed to offences. There is, therefore, the need for forgiveness to be part of us as children of God.

THE POWER OF FORGIVENESS
1. Removal of unnecessary pain we go through when: -
- offended and the person hasn't apologised.
- Forgiveness is more about you than the offender.
- Forgiveness helps us to progress

2. It will help the offender to seek forgiveness. 1 Samuel 26:21

3. It helps to break the power of pride.

4. Forgiveness does not consider the gravity of the offence.

BENEFITS OF FORGIVENESS
1. We will obtain God's forgiveness of our own sins.
2. Peace is restored.
3. Fellowship with God and even man is restored.
4. We would have demonstrated obedience to God's commandment.
5. We would have succeeded in shutting the devil out of our lives.

WHEN WE REFUSE TO FORGIVE
1. We shut the door against forgiveness of our sins.
2. We stand the risk of reversal of our previously forgiven sins. Matthew 18:23-35.
3. We are seen as mere hearers and not doers of the word of God.
4. We remain unrepentant sinners in the sight of God.
5. We run the risk of giving unacceptable offerings.
6. We run the risk of loosing our confidence to come before the throne of grace because of a condemned heart. Hebrew 4:16 ;1 John 5: 16

HOW DO WE FORGIVE?
1. Unconditionally.
2. Totally - don't have any reservation. Luke 7:47
3. Forgive and restore where necessary.
Remember not the offence anymore. Hebrew 8:12.
