Dear All
Please see attached the Newsletter for tomorrow - Sunday 16th August.
On Sunday we will be having the following services:
8am Said Communion10am Sung Communion6pm Said Evening Prayer
At the 10am service we look forward to welcoming Dan McNally fom Mary's Meals to talk to us about the work of the charity which we have supported as a parish during our Lent appeal.
Do also please see attached a knitting pattern for a knitted sheep as part of our Christmas knitting project. Do enjoy knitting the green rectangles or sheep if you would like to have a go!
This week, we have once again experienced soaring temperatures and people have suffered from the heat and experienced devastation of homes and properties due to the hot weather. I offer you the following prayer that you may like to use as we think about all who have been affected by recent weather conditions.
Heavenly Father, we lift up all who suffer from extreme heat and loss. Comfort those who are sick or hurt, heal their bodies, and give strength to medical workers. Provide shelter, hope, and steady help for everyone who lost a home or belongings in these fires. Bring peace to their hearts. Amen.
With Blessings to all
Jon
