We are linked with St James the Less Penicuik and share clergy resources with them. St Mungo Episcopal Church: West Linton, SC014349 Our Sunday morning service is at 10.30 am and uses the 1982 Liturgy. Children leave after the first hymn for Sunday school and rejoin the congregation for communion, where all Baptised Believers are welcome at the Lord's Table. On the third Sunday of the month a fami
ly service is held where the children remain in church throughout, a slimmed down version of the liturgy is used and there is an opportunity for increased lay participation in the worship. This is followed by a Fellowship Brunch in the Undercroft.• A house group meets weekly for bible study. Christian fellowship is at the heart its activities and the group has become a warm source of mid-week fellowship. The group has between 5 and 7 regulars and is always happy to expand! The fellowship is always good humoured and lively. LIFT (ladies in fellowship together) meets several times a year with an emphasis on fellowship and support. The members of St Mungo’s are active supporters of the Care Van. This is operated by the Bethany Trust in co-operation with Edinburgh City Mission and provides soup, rolls, clothing, support and advice to between 30 and 60 people who are homeless in Edinburgh city centre every night. Every night, the Care Van can be seen on the streets of Edinburgh, staffed by a team from one of over 30 different churches. Ghana Link:- St Mungo’s is linked with SS Peter and Paul in the Diocese of Cape Coast. A number of us have been privileged to visit Saltpond in recent times and we have also been able to offer hospitality to visitors from Ghana. Retreats:- each year there is an opportunity for members to go away for a weekend that combines fellowship, gentle outdoor pursuits and some worship and study. We have used St Drostan’s Lodge in Glenesk and Nunraw Abbey, Haddington. House Group:- Each Thursday evening, there is an opportunity for individuals to gather for a time of fellowship and Bible study. Prayer:- On the 1st Sunday of each month members are welcome to gather at 9am, prior to the service for a time of prayer.
