EASTER SPRING CLEAN

Alan is looking for volunteers to help him clean the Church on Wednesday 1st April starting at 11.00am, so that Church looks 👌 for the Maunday Service the next day and over Easter.
If you can help let him know on 07791 212196 or 01939 234790 so he can tell you what would be helpful to bring.
Many thanks!

Thanks to everyone who helped with the flowers for Mothering Sunday.

This is John (Jack) Clorley who was accorded full military honours following his death on 3rd June 1941 as a result of a motor cycle accident at Albrighton, near Shrewsbury.
Aged 31, John served with the K.S.L.I. and saw active service and was one of the last contingent to be evacuated from France. In civilian life he had been engaged in agriculture, and, just previous to being re-called to the Colours, had acquired the Mill Farm, Whixall. John was the eldest of 9 children of Mr and Mrs George Clorley and at the age of 11 moved with his parents to The Fields, Quina Brook. John was survived by his wife, Margaret, and four children.
His grave is at St Mary the Virgin, Edstaston, and the Commonwealth War Graves Commision has recently placed a Gallipoli Plinth/Pedestal at the grave so that John can be remembered in perpetuity.

On February 8th 2026 a short service of dedication will take place at the grave during the 11.00 a.m. Holy Communion Service.
