Yesterday we kicked off our 2026 Moving Up Celebrations 🥳

So good to welcome over 800 children from 34 schools into Taunton Minster, literally bringing so much life and colour as we joined in songs and prayers. We reflected on what moving up to a new school feels like and reminded ourselves that God goes with us 🙏

Huge thanks to the team that made this possible and to every school represented 🙌

Great to have you with us Ruishton Church of England School 🙌

Our Year 6s attended the annual Taunton Minster Year 6 Moving Up Celebration transition service yesterday. The service is held for primary school leavers in the area, hosted by the Bath and Wells Diocese.

It's always a privilege to attend, alongside many other schools in the area, and enjoy a service with songs, worship and transition activities to support our pupils to prepare for secondary school.

Well done to Year 6 for representing our school so well!

People’s Emergency Briefing - Tuesday 23rd June 6pm - St James Church
Taunton Minster Environmental Task Force and St James Eco Church Group are jointly hosting a People’s Emergency Briefing on Tuesday 23rd June at 6pm (over by 8:15pm).

This is a short film, followed by a facilitated discussion, based on the National Emergency Briefing on the Nature and Climate Crisis, held by experts in their field with Politicians, Scientists and other influential people in November 2025.

The initiative is explicitly non-partisan and supported by a wide range of organisations, including the Church of England (and our local diocese), National Trust, WWF, the Royal Meteorological Society and many others.
