Our ringers Jean and Peter tolled the 6th bell at St. Nicholas, Wells prior to the funeral of HRH Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh on Saturday.

Yesterday at Noon, all three of our towers (Wells, Holkham and Wighton) tolled in thanksgiving for the life of HRH Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh.
Here is our ringer Chris Richmond tolling the 19cwt Tenor at Holkham- including standing at backstroke on the 99th toll.

Tomorrow from 1800 our bells will be ringing out across Wells once again as we give thanks to our local Fire Brigade in our annual Firefighters Thanksgiving Service, which will be held outside in the church yard.
Covid compliance measures will be in place including separate entry/exit points and social distancing is encouraged.
