A CORD OF THREE STRANDS IS NOT EASILY BROKEN

Since the early centuries today has been observed as Trinity Sunday with mystical images and mysteries which are unique to the Christian faith. We worship one God who is also known in three different forms – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Our 15-minute Meeting Point podcast echoes the dilemma some people find but from the Bible we find inspiration and ideas. Our 3 Trinity hymns devote different verses to differing aspects of God’s nature.

Our online service today includes a truly unique moment in world history

The full power of Almighty God, in Spirit form, bursts into a group of disciples in Jerusalem. What was it like? What did they see, hear and experience?

Pentecost describes the indescribable and brings hope and joy to us on this occasion, sometimes called the Birthday of the Church.

A happy Whitsun to you.

AN UPRISING TURNS DISCIPLES INTO APOSTLES

The 16th Century poet John Donne wrote “Ascension Day” which includes the line:- “Salute the last, and everlasting day; Joy at the uprising of this Sun, and Son”

Our worship examines this play on words about God’s uprising in the world when Jesus left the earth at his Ascension – and our part in it.
