✨👑🌹 TODAYS THE DAY!!! 🌹👑✨

It’s set to be another scorcher ☀️🥵 today so make sure you have your sun cream on!☀️🧴

We will have plenty of refreshments available to buy to help you keep cool 😎! 🍦🥤
We also have some tables set out in the village hall - if you want to sit and escape the sun for while whilst enjoying some yummy treats with a cuppa! ☕️🍰🧁

🚘 ALL roads into Weeton will be closed from 1.45PM for our procession!
They will then reopen at 3PM!

🎭 1:15 PM – Fancy Dress Registration: Get those creative costumes ready!🎺

2:00 PM – The Grand Procession: Watch the village come alive with music and colour!👸

The Crowning: We are thrilled to welcome back Rev Philip Chew to officially crown our wonderful new Rose Queen, Thea Cooper! 🌹👑

💃 Maypole Magic: Watch our amazing school children keep tradition alive with their beautiful maypole dancing!🎈

🤔 Do you know someone that would LOVE to be the next ROSE QUEEN🌹👸🏼for…

Weeton St Michael’s Annual Garden Party & Rose Queen Festival Saturday 11th July 2026.

The Parochial Church Council is looking for someone who would like to be their Rose Queen for 2026! 🌹👸🏼

🗺️ If you live in the parishes of Weeton with Preese, Greenhalgh with Thistleton, Westby with Plumptons or attend one of the Weeton schools and are around the age range of school years 5, 6 or 7 they would love to hear from you.

The Rose Queen is the representative of Weeton St Michael’s Parish Church.
As well as taking part in the procession on the day - we ask that a Rose Queen attends the Civic Service the following day, reads lessons in church regularly, and attends some other club days and galas plus other duties.
It would be necessary, of course, to take part in the procession and civic service next year as retiring queen.

🫣 There is often a worry that this role could be expensive to undertake but this does not need to be the case.
Dawn Ansell is an expert on this and would be happy to discuss it with you. Her telephone number is 07811139915.

The church will help by making a contribution towards the expenses of the queen and her retinue.
