Weeton St Michael’s Annual Garden Party & Rose Queen Festival Saturday 11th July 2026.

The Parochial Church Council is looking for someone who would like to be their Rose Queen for 2026! 🌹👸🏼

🗺️ If you live in the parishes of Weeton with Preese, Greenhalgh with Thistleton, Westby with Plumptons or attend one of the Weeton schools and are around the age range of school years 5, 6 or 7 they would love to hear from you.

The Rose Queen is the representative of Weeton St Michael’s Parish Church.
As well as taking part in the procession on the day - we ask that a Rose Queen attends the Civic Service the following day, reads lessons in church regularly, and attends some other club days and galas plus other duties.
It would be necessary, of course, to take part in the procession and civic service next year as retiring queen.

🫣 There is often a worry that this role could be expensive to undertake but this does not need to be the case.
Dawn Ansell is an expert on this and would be happy to discuss it with you. Her telephone number is 07811139915.

The church will help by making a contribution towards the expenses of the queen and her retinue.

🌹 ALL roads into Weeton will CLOSE at 1.30pm & REOPEN again at 3pm!

🌹 Most stalls are CASH ONLY 💷!

We are in need of donations for our Famous Tombola at this year’s event!

If anyone has any unwanted items please let us know we would love to take them off your hands!

Items can be left in church between the hours of 9.30 am and 4.00 pm!

If anyone has any Teddies
(pre loved but in good condition) that are looking for a new home please let us know!

The PCC of Weeton are pleased to announce that the Rose Queen for 2025 will be Isabella Harris. Isabella attends Weeton St Michael's Primary School. She will be crowned at the annual garden party and rose queen festival on 19th July by Rev Ivan Walters. Please make sure that this lovely event is in your diaries.

What a WONDERFUL Day we had for our Garden Party & Rose Queen Festival this year, it was a HUGE success!!!
(The weather was very kind to us too!!)

🌹 Many Congratulations to Susie our new Rose Queen - we hope you have a fantastic year!

🌹 Thank you to our retiring Rose Queen Ellie who has done such a fabulous job!

🌹 Both Rose Queens & Retinues along with visiting parties looked amazing!

A MASSIVE Thank You to every single person that helped make the day happen, to all our local businesses & local communities for their help, donations & support!
WITHOUT YOU THIS EVENT WOULD NOT HAPPEN - WE ARE SO GRATEFUL!!

Saturdays event was followed by Civic Sunday Service at Church - Thank you again to everyone that attended!
This is such an important day for us!
