JESUS IS RISEN

Victory

A sacrifice was made, and a life was freely given.
We celebrate today because Jesus Christ has risen.
He came to save God's people. He came for you and me.
To take away our sins on a cross at Calvary.
He came because God loves us. He came to set us free.
And because death could not hold him, we have the victory

There is more to Easter than chocolate eggs, there's Jesus. Today he took my place and your place and died a painful death on a cross, to save us God's people. God loves us so much that he was willing to send his son to die in our place. It was our sin that took him to the cross, for he had done nothing wrong. He died so we could be forgiven and so we can draw closer to God.

There’s More

Theres more to Easter than chocolate eggs,
More to learn and know.
Like why did Jesus have to die?
Why did he have to go?

Born to save the world you see,
Sent from heaven above.
Born to free us from our sins,
Surrounded by god’s love.

Died on a cross at Calvery,
His arms were opened wide.
To welcome every one of us,
And bring us to his side.

God sent his son as a sacrifice, to take our punishment, for all the wrong we had done. Why? well that's simple because HE LOVES US.

Fix it

God created a world he was proud of, until man got tempted by sin.
So, then he had to fix it, this is where Jesus enters in.
He sent Jesus to earth to save us, our punishment he would bear.
All the sin that man had committed, laid on him which didn’t seem fair.
Jesus’s death on the cross was painful, but he did it all for love.
So, the people down on earth, could have a relationship with God above.
However, God didn’t leave it there, he rose Jesus from the grave.
So, he would have the victory for the world that he had made.

Christmas Day is fast approaching and I hope you all have a lovely Christmas. If you have been rushing around, or maybe you still are, I hope you manage to stop and just think for a moment, how lucky we all are. We may not have many gifts under the tree waiting to be opened or we may not have been able to buy as many gifts as we may have liked for our family and friends. But God gave the world a wondrous gift, his very own son, who was born as a baby to save the world he created. If you accept one gift this Christmas that may change your life forever, accept Jesus, Gods one and only son.

Christmas

Excited children, waiting for the right time,
Stressed out adults hoping it will be fine.
The time of year where you just rush around
Taking advantage of the bargains, you’ve found.

No time to sit and take a rest
It has to be perfect, the very best.
It all takes time, but it’s finally done
You can now relax and enjoy the fun.

But before you do, just ask yourself this
As you’ve rushed around is there something you’ve missed
Have you stopped and thought what it’s all about?
Is there something nagging causing you to doubt.

Take just a minute to remember the story
How Jesus was born in all God’s glory.
A gift to the world, sent from heaven above.
A gift so special, sent with joy and love.
So why not accept God’s gift today
And make this Christmas special in a far better way.

We may sometimes forget that Jesus had an earthly father, named Joseph, who like Mary was probably scared when the pregnancy was announced and ready to run. However God was there to save the day, because the birth of Jesus was God's Plan to save his people. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Joseph

Hi, my name is Joseph, but my friends all call me Jo
And soon I’m going to be married to the prettiest girl (Mary) I know.
I’m looking for a place so we can settle down.
The two of us together until we have children of our own.

It seems God has other plans though, as Mary is already pregnant.
Which scares me to my core as I’m not sure what all this meant.
The only thing I do know is that I am ready to run.
Because I am not the father, and the pregnancy isn’t due to anything I have done.

But then I had a dream, an angel told me I must stay.
Take Mary as my wife and not listen to what people might say.
He said, Mary has been chosen by God to have his son
And you must name him Jesus, god’s plan to save his people has begun.
