Sad to report that the pantry has again been broken into.
We have however been open today and will be open tomorrow.
Please pray that this valuable service to the community can continue without this continued harassment from individuals prepared to take from those in need.

On Friday we will be back out on the streets asking residents what they would like to see the £20 million Pride in Place funding for Friar Park spent on. We will be on the streets all week with fun activities for kids, come and tell us what you think. Check the posters for the location and times near you each day.

On Wednesday we will be back out on the streets asking residents what they would like to see the £20 million Pride in Place funding for Friar Park spent on. We will be on the streets all week with fun activities for kids, come and tell us what you think. Check the posters for the location and times near you each day. Wednesday 26th 10am till 11.30 - Friar Park Rd (outside the millennium centre), 11.30am - 1pm Corner of Manor Rd and Bassett Rd.

The food pantry is open this week, and fully stocked.
We are also opening our school uniform swap. This is a free service and includes uniforms for Tameside and Wodensborough.
You do not need to be a member of the pantry to access this service, just pop along during normal pantry opening times - see image below for these.

What does a fully stocked food pantry look like?
Open Heaven Church, Wednesbury has been providing a food pantry for Friar Park since 2020, fully stocked with meat, frozen products, tinned products, vegetables, treats like crisps and biscuits, hygiene products and household cleaning products. The variety of food means that full family meals can be prepared each week.
