We are the Anglican Church's own uniformed youth organisation: welcoming children and young people of all faiths and none. Throughout the country young people and children are continuing to enjoy fun, faith, fellowship and, through The Brigade, are learning to be better equipped to cope with the demands that society places upon them. The Brigade creates a caring and safe environment in which frien

dships between young people and children and adults can be established and helps young people and children to grow in confidence, develop their skills and abilities enabling them to work together and show care and concern for others. We encourage young people and children to explore their spirituality and respond to the Christian faith, and to develop their moral values and a respect for the environment.

Dear Brigade friends

Subject: A Special Opportunity to Honour Loved Ones with a New National Flag

We're reaching out with an exciting and heartfelt initiative! Our National Headquarters (NHQ) is planning to commission a beautiful new national flag. This flag will hold a place of honour at the entrance of NHQ and will be proudly paraded at our annual Remembrance Service at the National Memorial Arboretum.

We're especially looking forward to having this new flag blessed at this year's remembrance service at the NMA on Saturday 01 November, making it an even more poignant symbol of our Brigade family.

We'd like to extend a warm invitation to anyone who might wish to contribute to this special flag. If you'd like to donate in memory of a cherished family member or a beloved member of our Brigade family, your contribution would be deeply appreciated.

As a lasting tribute, the names of those remembered through these donations will be engraved on the flagpole. This means their names will be seen daily at NHQ and annually at the National Memorial Arboretum service, ensuring their memory is always with us.

If this is something you'd like to be a part of, please don't hesitate to contact Zoe at NHQ. She'll be happy to assist you. Please let Zoe know who the donation is to be made for and how much you are looking at donating (donations between £20 and £50).

We are looking at a deadline of 5.00pm on Friday 25 July 2025 for names and donation commitments.

I started watching the Great North Run on tv and within 15 minutes the BBC were interviewing our Trustee Derick Jackson running to raise money for the Cystic fibrosis trust, a great cause, if you can spare anything at all please visit Cystic Fibrosis Trust or Team Ewan on Facebook.
