We are delighted to be part of the one.voice27 global initiative as an integral Union in the Trans-European Division of Seventh-day Adventists.

OneVoice27 launches worldwide tomorrow, beginning a year of prayer, preparation and mission ahead of a coordinated global evangelistic emphasis in 2027.

Across the Trans-European Division, members are being encouraged to consider how they can take part, from personal outreach and Bible studies to social media, podcasts and other forms of digital evangelism.

As we step into a fresh season of ministry and routine, this beautiful verse perfectly captures the spirit of new beginnings. Today, we are inviting you to join us in a collective moment of prayer for our community, our leaders, and our young people. 🙏

🔹 For the New Directors: As the newly elected directors officially begin their work, we pray for divine wisdom, bold vision, and a "new song" of praise to guide their leadership. May this new chapter be one where God's guidance is evident in every decision made.

🔹 For This Weekend’s Gatherings: Please pray for the highly anticipated launch of OneVoice 27 and the Stanborough Press Open Day this coming weekend. We ask that these events and media initiatives will be a powerful source of inspiration, unity, and connection for everyone involved.

🔹 For Our Students: Finally, we are lifting up all the children and young adults heading back to their studies—whether they are starting or returning to our Adventist schools, stepping onto university campuses, or beginning a new year at Newbold College of Higher Education. May God grant them focus, protection, and courage as they navigate their classes and act as lights wherever they learn. 🎒📚

We congratulate Pastor Wilson Lagos on his appointment as Ministerial Association Secretary for the South England Conference. We pray God’s blessings on his ministry.

We are pleased to announce that, at an extraordinary meeting of the SEC Executive Committee on the evening of 25 August 2026, Pr Wilson Lagos was appointed to serve as SEC Ministerial Association Secretary for the remainder of the current term of office, through the SEC Session of September 2027.

Pr Lagos currently serves the Gatwick and Reigate International Churches and as Area Coordinator for Area Four.

He has previously served in ministry as a chaplain and minister in Peru and England and has pursued higher education in areas including business, management and theology. He is currently completing his Doctorate in Ministry.

Please join us in praying for Pr Wilson Lagos as he takes on this important responsibility and serves the wider SEC family.

It is truly wonderful when the people of God live together in peace. Psalm 133:1 (CEV).

The Seventh-day Adventist Church in the UK and Ireland is a melting pot of nationalities, cultures, and languages from across the globe. We have unique opportunities to learn how faith is practised through a multiplicity of lenses.

Living together in unity is an expression of faith that transcends preferences and prejudices. It is seeing the image of God mirrored in every face. It is experiencing community through shared understanding. It is learning that opinions and ‘norms’ are not doctrine.

Unity is not uniformity. It is best expressed through difference but with a common purpose. Hope in the soon-coming of our Lord provides a backdrop for our existence as a denomination. Let us move forward together in a spirit of oneness powered by the love of God.

Prayer 🙏🏾

Lord, make us instruments of Your peace.

Amen.
