Dear Devotees of Velmurugan,
Warm evening greetings to everyone.
A little over a month ago, through our temple WhatsApp group, we brought to your attention the circulation of certain misleading and inaccurate information concerning the temple, with the intention of creating awareness among our devotees.
Unfortunately, despite this, further false and highly misleading messages continue to circulate, including claims that the temple is being closed or relocated. I would like to categorically clarify, in my capacity as the Secretary of the Temple Board of Trustees, that these claims are completely untrue and have no basis whatsoever.
At this stage, we are unable to understand the intention behind those who continue to circulate such misinformation.
We kindly ask everyone to pause and reflect.
Hinduism guides us towards a life of righteousness, compassion, and good values. Our temple plays an important role in helping future generations living in a foreign country remain connected to their religious, cultural, and community values while developing a strong sense of humanity and moral responsibility.
The temple is a place that provides guidance, spiritual strength, and a sense of identity to our community. Unfortunately, it appears that certain individuals or a group within the community may be attempting to create unnecessary disruption and hinder the development and progress of the Watford Velmurugan Hindu Temple, while potentially causing confusion among our younger generations.
Dear Devotees,
We respectfully request that you do not give credence to false rumours, misleading campaigns, or unverified information.
To date, the temple administration has not issued any official announcement concerning the closure or relocation of our temple. Any genuine administrative information or important developments will be communicated officially by the temple management through the appropriate channels.
Despite the significant financial challenges we continue to face, we remain committed to developing and maintaining our temple. With the continued support, cooperation, and goodwill of all our devotees, we are determined to move forward together and ensure the temple continues to serve our community.
If you become aware of any misleading information or messages being circulated concerning the temple, we kindly request that you inform the temple administration. Bringing such matters to our attention will assist us in assessing the situation appropriately and, where necessary, taking suitable legal action in the future.
