Our purpose is to support the mission and message of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church by encouraging young people in the South of England to be actively involved in the ministry of the Church and equipping them for service to God and man.

Last night, Pastor Bright reminded us that when we have God, we have everything we need.

I am the son of two, a sibling of eight, and a husband to one.

But beyond who I am, I am deeply interested in who God is.

Too often in church, our understanding of God can become something like a game of Chinese whispers. God reveals who He is, but as His character is passed through our experiences, traditions, fears, assumptions, and even our theology, the picture can gradually change. Who God says He is and who we say He is are not always the same.

My purpose, therefore, is simple: to help us rediscover God for who He truly is.

I have come to see Him as the garbage sorter, the rubbish collector, and the leader of the messy church — the God who is not intimidated by brokenness, imperfection, unanswered questions, or complicated lives. He does not wait for us to clean ourselves up before drawing near. He meets us in the middle of the mess and begins His work there.

God is not afraid of your mess, so neither should you be.
