We were so pleased to see Jacqui, our Asda Community champion, and so grateful for the donation - drop in if you would like a cuppa!!

It’s been a while since I’ve seen the lovely people who get together at 368 Community Cafe, so armed with a donation of 120 sachets of instant coffees I popped in for a catch up.

368 Community Cafe is open every Tuesday from 10am - 12pm, and can be found on London Road, at the back of Waterlooville Baptist Church.

Come on your own, or come with a friend - you’re guaranteed a warm welcome along with a cuppa, cake and lots of friendly chat.

Today we had a meeting in the church office to update our new Minister on who does what in the absolutely fascinating world of administration in the church! 😎🎈
From meeting minutes to making posters; from replying to emails to room hire invoices; from posting on Facebook to producing a newsletter..... and who could forget GDPR, CCLI and all the other acronyms!! 🥰🤪
So many tasks to cover and we love our admin team and all those who support with rotas, forms and info 💙

Let's not forget that Church is absolutely all about nurturing and discipling people and having that strong bedrock to work from is vital

Blessings beyond your imagination

‘Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.’
Ephesians 3:20 NIV
Prayer Pastor Heidi Scanlon said: ‘God has blessings for us in categories we don’t even know exist.’ That means God can create something out of nothing. He can seemingly come out of nowhere, and just when you need Him most, give you something you don’t even have a category for. God says: ‘“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts”’ (Isaiah 55:8-9 NIV).

You may say, ‘If God has blessings that I don’t even have categories for, how can I ask for them?’ That’s where the Holy Spirit, who dwells within you, comes to your aid: ‘We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us…in accordance with the will of God’ (Romans 8:26-27 NIV). And because the Holy Spirit prays in accordance with the will of God, you are blessed with wisdom beyond your knowledge, power beyond your strength, and favour beyond your ability.

Paul put it this way: ‘Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen’ (Ephesians 3:20-21 NIV). Now you still must do your due diligence, for God cannot bless negligence. But when you know you’ve faithfully done your part and obeyed God, you can trust Him for blessings beyond your imagination.

As we approach the final week of the summer term, some of our groups will close for the summer. We wish all group leaders a rest and a recharge over the holiday weeks and for those who come into the building for play or learning, we hope you have a fabulous summer and make many wonderful memories!

In particular Pat, who runs our Toddlers @ WBC group would like to wish all the families who come along each Thursday a lovely break and for those starting school in September, a fond farewell!

Toddlers starts again on Thursday 10th September and we look forward to welcoming back toddler families and welcoming new friends!
