We had such a brilliant week last week at our Real Lives event! After hearing so many extraordinary stories, you might be wondering, what next? Do you want to experience the same real hope, peace, and life-changing faith that our guests talked about?

We’re excited to be running Hope Explored over the next three weeks, to help you discover who God is.

Over three sessions, Hope Explored presents the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, providing a gentle opportunity to discover how he fulfils three of the greatest longings we all experience: the longing for hope, peace, and purpose.

Whether you came to every night of Real Lives, popped in for just one, or missed the week entirely, you are so welcome to come along and explore at your own pace.

Starting this Wednesday, join us at 6:30pm for a free meal, with the course starting at 7:00pm at Cowplain Church, Durley Avenue (PO8 8XA).

It is completely free, there is no pressure, and no question is off-limits.

It was fantastic meeting JB Gill tonight and hearing how God has been right there with him through every step of his journey, from his massive career with JLS to his TV presenting and everything else he has done.

That brings us to the end of our guest speaker events for the week! Having heard so many remarkable stories over the last six nights, you might find yourself with new questions or wanting to explore things a bit deeper. The Christian faith is so worth checking out for yourself.

If you are curious to learn more, our host Martin Povey will be speaking at Cowplain Church tomorrow morning (Sunday 18th October) for our Discovery Services. Both services are completely identical - 9:15am and 11:00am.

Whether you came along to every night of Real Lives Week or couldn't make any of them, you are so warmly invited to come as you are. There will be a great welcome waiting for you, plenty of space for the kids, and hot drinks (and cakes!) afterwards.

Following his recent win on The Box, JB will be sharing what life is like balancing pop stardom, TV presenting on BBC’s Countryfile and Songs of Praise, and being a dedicated husband and father, alongside the faith that keeps him grounded. We are heading into an incredible final two nights of Real Lives Week at Cowplain Church, featuring two huge names from the world of music and TV!

TONIGHT, we welcome pop star and actress Kelle Bryan. Best known as a member of Eternal, one of the UK’s most successful R&B girl bands, Kelle has also been a regular panellist on ITV’s Loose Women and starred in Hollyoaks and EastEnders. Tonight, she will be opening up about the incredible highs of fame, alongside her personal story of overcoming the life-threatening disease Lupus and how her faith carried her through.

Then tomorrow on Saturday 17th October, boyband superstar JB Gill takes the stage! Rising to fame with multi-platinum group JLS, JB has recently been back on our screens winning reality TV show The Box, alongside his regular presenting roles on BBC’s Songs of Praise, The One Show, and Countryfile. JB will share what it was like dominating the charts, his life with his family and stories as a presenter, and how his faith became very real to him. Stick around afterwards for an exclusive live Q&A!

It is completely free for everyone to attend, with our Cowplain Kids team running an action-packed session for ages 4 to 11 right alongside the talks. If you have younger children, you can relax in our toy-filled room while keeping an eye on the interview via the live screen feed. Afterwards, stay for a hot drink and a bite to eat on us!

Hearing how God changes lives never gets boring. Simon searched everywhere for someone to fill his heart, but ended up filling it with criminality and sin instead. That was until God met him in his darkness, and he was completely forgiven and turned his life around.

We can hardly believe we are already reaching the final two nights of Real Lives Week, but we are finishing with another 2 great guests!

TOMORROW NIGHT (Friday 16th October), we are joined by pop star and actress Kelle Bryan. Known to millions from Eternal, Loose Women, and Hollyoaks, Kelle is coming to share the real story behind the headlines, including her struggle with Lupus and how her faith gave her hope through the darkest moments.

Then on SATURDAY (17th October), JLS superstar JB Gill will be with us! Following his recent win on The Box, JB will be sharing what life is like balancing pop stardom, TV presenting, and farming, alongside the faith that keeps him grounded. He will also be doing an exclusive live Q&A with the audience afterwards.

What a special evening we had with Fred Gill last night! It was amazing to hear his moving story of finding deep peace and hope after tragic loss, and having his restored Harley Davidson right there in the building made it even more unforgettable (yes, he did fire it up. And yes, it was loud😅).

John Ghanim shared such a powerful story of searching for God in all the wrong places before having his life completely transformed when he found Jesus. It was so inspiring to hear how he now boldly spreads the good news wherever he goes, whatever the cost.

Real Lives Week kicks off tomorrow at Cowplain Church, and we are so excited to welcome you and your family!

While the main interviews are tailored for adults and young people in Year 7 and above, we have got a brilliant programme lined up for the younger ones too. For children in Year R to Year 6, our Cowplain Kids team has put together an incredible programme throughout the week featuring amazing stories, songs, and games with special prizes every night. If you have a baby or pre-schooler, there is a dedicated room with toys where you can watch the live-streamed interview on screen while keeping your little ones happy.

Every event throughout the week is completely free and open to everyone, and you can stick around afterwards for free hot drinks and cakes. Whether you can make it for one night or all of them, here is who we have coming up:
