This Sunday, we were joined by guest speaker Gordon Curley, an evangelist for Counties Hampshire who also serves on the leadership team for Good News Camp - a camp many of our adults and children recently attended!

Gordon shared a great message on effective prayer and how to stay connected to God in our daily lives. He reminded us that prayer keeps us aligned with God’s will and is vital to our walk with Him. If you missed it, you can catch up on our YouTube channel.

Want to put Gordon’s message into practice? Join us for our monthly prayer meeting this Tuesday at 7:30pm! It's a key part of our church life as we gather to pray together. Everyone who calls Cowplain Church home is welcome.

We’ve also shared a few highlights from Good News Camp. It was an amazing week of fun, games, and diving into John’s Gospel together.

We wanted to share an important update regarding Sunday parking at the Mission Lane car park behind the church.

Starting this Sunday (9th August), Havant Council is introducing parking charges on Sundays. The cost will be £1.60 for 4 hours. The pay points accept both cash and card, but if you choose to pay via the RingGo app, please keep in mind that they charge an additional usage fee. Since this is new for everyone, there may be brief queues at the machines, so we encourage you to allow a few extra minutes when arriving so you have time to pay before the service starts.

If you prefer not to park in Mission Lane, there are other car parks nearby in the area, as well as on-street parking and space further out at Padnell Recreation Ground off Padnell Road.

While it’s a shame to see these changes introduced, our purpose for gathering remains the same. We look forward to joining with you this Sunday as we come together to worship our great and glorious God.

- Pastor Phill

Days like Sunday are what church family is all about. 🤍

Getting to pray over and encourage a family is always a privilege, but having double the celebration made it even sweeter. We loved getting to dedicate Jonah and Reuben on Sunday, 2 boys who have already been such a gift to us at Cowplain Church!

We’re so excited to continue to watch them grow. May God continue to bless Jonah, Reuben, and the whole family!

We are so excited to be welcoming the Solas team back to Cowplain Church for a full weekend of events on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th April.

In a skeptical and fast-paced culture, many of us find the idea of talking about our faith a bit daunting. We often worry about saying the wrong thing or being faced with a tough question we can't answer. If you have ever felt that way, you are not alone. This weekend is designed exactly for you.

We have a packed schedule featuring Andy Bannister, David Hutchings, and Gavin Matthews to help us grow in confidence and curiosity.

Saturday 25th April: Confident Christianity Conference (9:30am to 3:30pm)
Join us at Cowplain Church for a day dedicated to empowering you to talk about Jesus more naturally. Doors open at 9am for refreshments, and it is going to be a brilliant day of learning and encouragement.

Sunday 26th April: Sunday Discovery Services (9:15am and 11am)
Andy Bannister will be joining us for our morning services to share a talk alongside our usual worship and children’s groups. These services are free to attend and they are a great opportunity to hear more from the Solas team in our usual Sunday setting.

Sunday 26th April: An Evening with Solas (6:00pm)
To round off the weekend, we are heading to The Exchange restaurant in Waterlooville for a meal with Andy Bannister and David Hutchings as our after-dinner speakers. It is a relaxed way to invite friends or family to hear reflections on why faith makes such a difference in life.
(A £10 deposit per person is required, which is deducted from your final bill).

Whether you join us for one part of the weekend or all of it, we would love to see you there as we learn together how to share the hope we have with confidence.

As our church marks 140 years of being part of the Cowplain and Waterlooville community, we are planning a special evening of food and conversation at The Exchange restaurant in Waterlooville on Sunday, 26th April at 6pm. We would love for you to join us, especially if you have connected with us at any of our groups or services in recent years.

We are really pleased to be welcoming back a familiar face to our church as our after-dinner speaker. Andy Bannister (pictured, 2023) will be sharing some reflections on what it means to take a "Leap of Faith" and why the Christian faith makes such a difference in a person's life.

It is going to be a relaxed, fun evening with some great company, and you are more than welcome to bring friends and family along.

A £10 deposit per person will secure your booking, which will then be taken off your final food bill at the restaurant on the day. It's then entirely up to you whether you want to pay for any guests you invite, split the bill with them or each pay for your own meals. That's all done directly at the restaurant.

Book your place on our website today! https://www.cowplainchurch.co.uk/solas-weekend

Wow, what a Sunday it was last week! It was incredible to baptise Dean, Evie, Ryan, Owen and Sarah and hear their testimonies of how God has changed their lives. We do encourage you to catch up online if you weren't able to make it.

Maybe their stories stirred some questions in your mind, and you're wondering who this 'Jesus' is. Who is this God that Christians have a personal relationship with?

Why not discover more? Come along a few Sundays, just to give it a go. You've got nothing to lose, and everything to gain.

Every Sunday, 9:15am and 11am (identical services). See you there!

We would love to welcome you to Cowplain Church this Easter as we gather to celebrate the heart of what we’re all about! Whether you have been part of our church family for years or you are just looking for a place to find out more, you are so welcome to join us.

Good Friday, 3 April at 10am
Our weekend begins with a quiet and moving Communion service. It is a time for us to pause and consider the death of Jesus, focusing on the different people who were there at the cross and how they reacted to what they saw.

Easter Sunday, 5 April at 9:15am and 11am
On Sunday morning, we will be looking at the proof for the resurrection and why it gives us such a lasting sense of hope in a world that often feels quite the opposite. It’s a celebration!

We are also incredibly excited to be baptising 5 people across our 2 Sunday services. Because we want everyone to have the chance to share in that joy, we will be baptising 2 people at the end of the 9.15am service and 3 people at the start of the 11am service. Please feel free to come along a little early or stay a bit later so you can see all five baptisms take place.

We really look forward to seeing you there and celebrating the hope of Easter together😊
