3:00 AM Ash Wednesday Prayer of Declaration

Heavenly Father,

At this sacred 3:00 AM hour on Ash Wednesday, I rise in humility and surrender. As I remember that I am dust and to dust I shall return, I also remember that I am redeemed, restored, and called by You.

I declare that this is a season of repentance and renewal.
I turn away from every sin, every distraction, and every weight that hinders my walk with You. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

I declare that my life belongs to You.
My thoughts belong to You.
My body is Your temple.
My spirit is aligned with Your will.

Every chain of sin is broken.
Every voice of condemnation is silenced.
Every spiritual heaviness is lifted in the name of Jesus.

At this hour, when the world is quiet, I declare that heaven hears my cry. My prayers rise before You like incense. My repentance is sincere. My heart is open. I hold nothing back.

I declare spiritual awakening over my life.
I declare renewed hunger for Your Word.
I declare deeper intimacy with Your presence.

This Ash Wednesday marks a turning point. What once distracted me will no longer control me. What once weakened me will no longer defeat me. I walk in discipline, obedience, and grace.

Father, let this Lenten season refine me. Burn away pride. Remove selfish ambition. Purify my motives. Teach me to serve, to forgive, to love sacrificially.

I declare that I am not defined by my past failures but by Your mercy.
I am not ruled by fear but by faith.
I am not spiritually dry—Your Spirit revives me now.

Thank You for the cross.
Thank You for redemption.
Thank You for new beginnings.

At 3:00 AM, I stand watchful, surrendered, and confident that You are doing a deep work within me.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen. POPE LEO XIV

This was taken from a Christmas greeting from one of our parishioners.
They may or may not have written it themselves, but feel it depicts the true meaning of Christmas

“May this Christmas bring peace, light, and hope to every heart.

In the stillness of the holy night, love entered the world quietly, reminding us that even in the darkest moments, light is never far away.

May this season fill your home with warmth, your heart with joy, and your days with a renewed sense of hope, kindness, and peace”
