It is about having a personal relationship with God through Jesus. We are a Born Again Bible-based church, where The Holy Spirit is free to lead us. So we experience the love joy and peace of God whenever we meet. Everyone is made to feel welcome when they are here. History

Pastors Stephen and Janet Wood were called by God in September of 1986 to establish Foundation Christian Fellowship in Warm

The Bible is the absolute truth. Truth means the integrity, honesty and permanence. The Bible we have today is God's own word to us today.

A new way of life.

Moses went up into the mountain for 40 days, and on the 41st day, Moses came down to tell the people what God had told him. God had given him the ten Commandments.
He also gave him The Law and the instructions for making the tabernacle where God would be worshipped.
On that 41st day, the people of Israel had been given a new way of life with God as their provider and their protector.

Exodus 24
18 So Moses went into the midst of the cloud and went up into the mountain. And Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.

The end of troubles is in sight.

In Noah’s day it rained for 40 days and 40 nights.
But on the 41st day, the rain stopped and the water began to recede.
The end was in sight and they knew they were saved.
Sometimes we have to go through some stuff, but on that day, the end of our troubles is in sight. We are saved.
Once we are Born Again, we will always have redemption.

Genesis 7
15 And they went into the ark to Noah, two by two, of all flesh in which is the breath of life.
16 So those that entered, male and female of all flesh, went in as God had commanded him; and the Lord shut him in.
17 Now the flood was on the earth forty days. The waters increased and lifted up the ark, and it rose high above the earth.

Our 41st Year.
In 1986 on the 7th September, Pastor Stephen Wood and Pastor Janet Wood had the first ever church service for Foundation Christian Fellowship. Today we are celebrating and understanding from The Bible what happens when time goes from the 40th year to the 41st year. God has some awesome blessings for our 41st year.

Understand that His Goodness is a promise

It might be difficult to see God as good all the time because people change their moods from one day to the next.
People can be kind and good to you one day, then horrible the next.
God is not a man that He can lie, and He is not a man that He can be anything but good.
Become an ambassador of His goodness by going into all the world, shining the light that is within us, and be a witness of the goodness of God.
The goodness of God doesn’t come the exact moment you would like.
It’s always there and it is always operating in your life.
You’ll have peace in the goodness of God, and you’ll never be shaken.

Philippians 4
7 And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard
your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

The Shepherd Protects

The rod protects from external enemies.
The staff corrects internal wandering.
God protects you from what’s around you and from what’s inside you.
God sets a table in the presence of enemies.
God blesses you publicly and elevates you where others expected you to fall.
God feeds you while enemies watch but cannot stop it.
My cup runs over.
Overflow is God’s signature, He never stops at just enough.
Goodness, is God giving you what you don’t deserve.
Mercy, is God withholding what you do deserve.
They don’t follow you occasionally, they follow you all the days of your life.
You are not followed by failure or fear.
You are followed by goodness and mercy.
You will dwell in the house of The Lord forever.
The psalm ends not with a valley but with a home.
Not with fear but with fellowship. Not with uncertainty but with eternity.

The Lord is MY shepherd.

David writes Psalm 23, not as a king on a throne, but as a sheep who knows
the Shepherd.
This psalm is not about the sheep’s ability, but about the Shepherd’s commitment.
David begins with a declaration, not a request.
God is not a shepherd, He is MY shepherd.
“I shall not want” means I lack nothing essential for my destiny.
The Shepherd provides not according to the sheep’s need, but according to His own abundance.
When God is your Shepherd, Lack cannot be your story.
Sheep only lie down when they feel safe, God gives rest where fear once lived.
The Shepherd does not send you into the valley, He walks it with you.
In the valleys, the shadow of a dog never bit anyone.
The shadow of death cannot destroy the believer.
The presence of God does not remove the valley, but it removes the fear.

Psalm 23
1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside
the still waters.
3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I
will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my
life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

God’s goodness invites us to respond

Psalm 34:8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who
trusts in Him.
Taste is personal, it is experiential.
Taste means stepping toward God, not just hearing about Him.
You don’t discover God’s goodness by observing it from a distance.
You discover it by trusting Him, obeying Him, and walking with Him.
To live from the goodness of God is to live with:
Confidence, God is for you. Peace, God is with you. Hope, God is working in you.
Courage, God will not fail you. Gratitude, God has blessed you.
The goodness of God is not fragile, or occasional.
It is not dependent on your performance.
It is the steady, unchanging heartbeat of heaven.

God’s goodness pursues us

Psalm 23 ends with one of the most comforting promises in The Bible.
Verse 6 - Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.
The Hebrew word for “follow” is active, like a shepherd pursuing a wandering sheep.
God’s goodness doesn’t wait for you to arrive, it comes after you.
You are not just walking toward God’s goodness, you are being followed by it.
God’s goodness is most clearly seen in Jesus.
If you want to know what God’s goodness looks like in human form, look at Jesus.
He healed the sick, He welcomed the forgotten, He restored the broken.
He fed the hungry, He forgave the guilty, He laid down His life for sinners.
Jesus didn’t just teach about God’s goodness, He became it.
The cross is the ultimate proof of God’s goodness.
