COMING SOON: “WE ARE THE CLAY”

As part of this year’s Patronal Festival at the Parish Church, we’ll be celebrating the creativity of potters, ceramicists, stone masons and artists who shape and create in three dimensions.

28–29 June

Over the weekend you’ll be able to:
View unique artwork and ceramics
Meet our artist in residence, Bahar
Discover hidden sculptural details within the church
Learn more about traditional stone masonry and Oxford’s heritage buildings
Take part in ceramic painting activities for adults and children (booking details coming soon)

A wonderful splash of red from the bellringers last week for Pentecost

Red is the traditional colour of Pentecost, representing fire, strength and the coming of the Holy Spirit. It was lovely to see this reflected not only inside the church, but up in the bell tower too.

Small touches like these quietly connect tradition, worship and community together across the church.

There is something truly special about the stained glass windows inside Holy Trinity Church, Charlton

From the rich Victorian memorial windows honouring saints and loved ones, to the more modern window filled with flowing water, doves, wheat and the image of Christ — each one tells a story of faith, community and journey.

The colours come alive as the light changes throughout the day, filling the church with warmth and reflection.

These windows quietly remind us how churches hold generations of history together — preserving the past whilst continuing to inspire today.
