Waltham St Lawrence Parish Church Our church is at the heart of a thriving, lively and friendly community in a beautiful part of rural east Berkshire.

We are an open and friendly church and look forward to welcoming you to services or other events. The church has both modern and traditional elements to its worship style. We have a strong musical tradition, including two choirs covering all age groups and we run an annual concert series and choral festival.

Following the celebration of Pentecost last week and the coming of the Holy Spirit to inspire and help the disciples, this week we mark Trinity Sunday, the recognition that Our God is one in three, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

This Trinity Sunday we have 8.45 Holy Communion followed by Morning Worship at 10.00, Simon and the choir taking a well earnt Sunday rest this week.
It has been a hot week and brains get frazzled, remember that the cool of our church building enables time for heads to clear and thoughts to be calmed ahead of the week and a new month to embrace.
Our church is open for all Thursday - Sunday 10 am-4pm each week,

Sunday Club for the children will be running during the 10.00 service. They will have an opportunity for storytelling and creative craft.
This will be followed by teas and coffees in the sunshine together.

The Day of Pentecost marks fifty days since Easter Day and brings the Easter season to an end. Jesus had promised his followers that, although they would not see him after his Ascension, they would receive the Holy Spirit to guide and inspire them.
We all need the Holy Spirit to make us strong, resilient and courageous when all those gifts are needed, Remember to pray for Gods blessings, for us our families, friends and the world at large.

This Pentecost Sunday we have 8.45 Holy Communion followed by Parish Communion at 10.00
Sunday Club for the children will be running during the 10.00 service. They will have an opportunity for storytelling and creative craft whilst learning about Jesus. Afterwards we can all sit and have our coffee in the sunshine together.

This weekend- come and hear the delights of singing voices in the 6pm Choral Festival Concert- today @ WSL 6pm. Everyone welcome.

Tomorrow after 8.45 Morning Worship @ Shottesbrooke, there is St Lawrence Cafe @ WSL followed by 10.30 Communion Service with Sunday Club for the children.

This Sunday we have 8.45 Morning Worship followed by Parish Communion @ WSL 10.00 am.
and on Thursday, 14 May at 8.00pm we will have our Ascension Day communion service.

Remember Sunday Club for children during the 10.00 service- all children are welcome to step into the side chapel to take part in the specially directed session with our Sunday Club helpers.

Also again A BIG THANK YOU, to everyone who came to the Teas & Plant Sale afternoon, last Monday. Thank you for your donations which go towards church upkeep, currently around £1,000 a week and like many organisations totally reliant on kind volunteers and donations along with fund raising, to offer the church to the community, it is all self funding. So again THANK YOU for all your support.😀

This Sunday 26th April

8.45 and 10 am Communion Services @ WSL, followed by refreshments. Sunday Club for children of all ages running during the 10 am Service.

Afterwards @ 11.30 am- Annual Parishioners and Parochial Church Meeting- Everyone invited to attend for the review of our churches year with the contributions that keep the church open and available to all.
REMINDER- our church is open Thursday- Sunday 10-4pm for all our local friends and visitors, if you would like some quiet time or a moment of peace from our busy world. Just pop in!

This Sunday- St Lawrence breakfast café, everyone welcome 9.15-10.45 am. BIG shout out to the team who get up early on the morning to make it happen for us all. Sundays service , we are delighted to welcome back Revd Graham Theobold for the 10.30 Communion, where the choir will be singing and there is Sunday Club for the children.

Next Sunday 26th April is the APCM at 11.30 am after church services and with coffee, all are welcome to attend.

THANK YOU ! to all who came to our Easter Services and shared in a happy day. Wishing everyone a sunny and blessed Bank Holiday Monday and enjoy the rest of the school holidays.😀

Note Sunday Club will be back next Sunday during the service. Junior Choir are off for Easter break but back later this month for Summer term
