Over the August Bank Holiday Weekend, we were delighted to celebrate four baptisms across two services at Christ Church.

We welcomed two young people and two adults into the family of the Church through the waters of baptism.

It was a wonderful weekend of celebration as we gathered around the font to welcome our newest members and to pray for them as they begin this new chapter in their journey of faith.

Please keep them, their families and godparents in your prayers. 🙏

🎷 LIVE SAXOPHONE CONCERT THIS SATURDAY! 🎷

Join us at Christ Church, Waltham Cross tomorrow evening for a very special concert with internationally acclaimed saxophone soloist Gerard McChrystal, presenting Aonair.

Gerard will take us through an eclectic programme of music for solo saxophone and electronics, performed on alto, soprano and sopranino saxophones.

🎺 Summer Music Festival Highlights 🎺

For our final look back at this year’s Summer Music Festival, we come to Sunday and the brilliant Regent Brass!

After an incredible weekend of music, Regent Brass brought our festival to a fantastic close with an afternoon of wonderful music, tremendous playing and, of course, that unmistakable sound of a great brass band.

They were absolutely superb and the perfect way to round off three days of music at Christ Church.

A huge thank you to Regent Brass, and to every musician, volunteer and member of the audience who helped make our Summer Music Festival such a success.

What a weekend it was! 🎺🎶👏

Next in our look back at an incredible weekend of music, we return to where it all began on Friday evening with the wonderful New Eden Consort.

What a way to open our Summer Music Festival!

Their beautiful singing filled Christ Church and gave us a truly stunning evening of music. The acoustics of the church really came alive, and it was a joy to welcome such talented musicians to Waltham Cross.

A huge thank you to New Eden Consort for starting our festival in such spectacular style, and to everyone who joined us for the opening night.

It really did set the tone for a very special weekend! 🎶✨

Wow, what a fantastic start to our Summer Music Festival last night! 🎶

The New Eden Consort were absolutely stunning, filling Christ Church with the most beautiful music. We are so grateful to them for coming to perform for us and for giving us such a wonderful opening night.

A huge thank you as well to everyone who came along and supported the concert. It was brilliant to see the church filled with people enjoying live music together.

A championship brass band presents a programme of popular favourites, followed by an outdoor barbecue and a second set of music in true Last Night of the Proms style.

🎢 Youth Group Day Out! ⛳️

On Monday, our Youth Group headed off to Southend for a brilliant day out.

The young people made the most of Adventure Island, while Fr Jake and Revd Helen opted for the slightly more sedate excitement of coffee on the pier! ☕️🌊

We rounded off the day with a game of crazy golf, where it’s fair to say the competitive spirits were definitely on display! ⛳️😂

A great day of fun, friendship and fellowship together, and a wonderful way to enjoy some time as a Youth Group during the summer holidays.
