Good morning everyone, happy Saturday 🤗

Prayers today for everyone who needs God's healing touch 🕊

Wishing you all a peaceful and safe day and sending lots of love, 🌼xx

Sometimes, we can become stressed and anxious without even realising, here is
a relaxation exercise to try.

Enjoying a Feeling of Calmness and Peace

Meditation is a good way to improve our feeling of calm and wellbeing.

We can focus on this scenario to the exclusion of all other things.

This technique is a calming and soothing exercise as it holds us in the moment and helps us to stop worrying about events from our past or future.

We begin by closing our eyes and taking five long, slow deep breaths.

Continue to breathe fully in and out throughout this exercise.

Now think of ourselves walking on the beach.

Use all of our senses

What can we see?
What can we feel?
What can we hear?
What can we smell?
What can we taste?

Feel the sun on our skin and listen for the sound of the waves.

Imagine the water and the waves and feel the sand under our feet.

As we walk,
We might pick up some small shells or pebbles

Feel the sea water and sand on our feet

Taste the salt from the sea

We can stay for as long as we like and enjoy the experience.

Enjoy the feeling of peace and take it into our day

Footprints in the Sand

One night I dreamed a dream. I was walking along the beach with my Lord. Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonging to me and one to my Lord.

When the last scene of my life shot before me I looked back at the footprints in the sand. There was only one set of footprints. I realized that this was at the lowest and saddest times of my life. This always bothered me and I questioned the Lord about my dilemma.

"Lord, You told me when I decided to follow You, You would walk and talk with me all the way. But I'm aware that during the most troublesome times of my life there is only one set of footprints. I just don't understand why, when I need You most, You leave me."

He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you, never, ever, during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you".

Good evening everyone,

If you would to add someone to our prayers please let us know xx

Evening Prayer

Preparation
O God, make speed to save us.
O Lord, make haste to help us.

Reveal among us the light of your presence

That we may behold your power and glory.

Blessed are you, Sovereign God,
creator of light and darkness,
to you be glory and praise for ever.

As evening falls, you renew your promise
to reveal among us the light of your presence.

May your word be a lantern to our feet
and a light upon our path
that we may behold your coming among us.

Strengthen us in our stumbling weakness
and free our tongues to sing your praise.

Blessed be God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Blessed be God for ever.

Creator of the stars of night,
thy people’s everlasting light,
O Jesu, Saviour of us all,
regard thy servants when they call.

Thou, grieving at the bitter cry
of all creation doomed to die,
didst come to save a ruined race
with healing gifts of heavenly grace.

Thou camest, Bridegroom of the bride,
as drew the world to evening-tide,
proceeding from a virgin shrine,
the Son of Man, yet Lord divine.

At thy great name, exalted now,
all knees must bend, all hearts must bow,
and things in heaven and earth shall own
that thou art Lord and King alone.

To thee, O holy One, we pray
our judge in that tremendous day,
preserve us, while we dwell below,
from every onslaught of the foe.

All praise, eternal Son, to thee,
whose advent sets thy people free,
whom with the Father we adore,
and Spirit blest, for evermore.

That this evening may be holy, good and peaceful,
let us pray with one heart and mind.

Silence is kept.

As our evening prayer rises before you, O God,
so may your mercy come down upon us
to cleanse our hearts
and set us free to sing your praise
now and for ever.
Amen.

The Word of God

Glory to the Father and to the Son
and to the Holy Spirit;
as it was in the beginning is now
and shall be for ever. Amen.

Refrain:
Surely I am coming soon.
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!

1 'Behold, I am coming soon’, says the Lord,
‘and bringing my reward with me,
to give to everyone according to their deeds.

Refrain:
Surely I am coming soon.
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!

2 'I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last,
the beginning and the end.’

Refrain:
Surely I am coming soon.
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!

3 Blessed are those who do God’s commandments,
that they may have the right to the tree of life,
and may enter into the city through the gates.

Refrain:
Surely I am coming soon.
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!

4. 'I, Jesus, have sent my angel to you,
with this testimony for all the churches.

Refrain:
Surely I am coming soon.
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!

5. 'I am the root and the offspring of David, •
I am the bright morning star.’

Refrain:
Surely I am coming soon.
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!

6. 'Come!’ I say the Spirit and the Bride; •
‘Come!’ let each hearer reply.

Refrain:
Surely I am coming soon.
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!

7. Come forward, you who are thirsty,
let those who desire take the water of life as a gift.

Refrain:
Surely I am coming soon.
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!

To the One who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be blessing and honour and glory and might,
for ever and ever. Amen.

Surely I am coming soon.
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!

Silence

My soul is waiting for you, O Lord:
in your word is my hope.

My soul is waiting for you, O Lord:

In your word is my hope.
There is forgiveness with you,
so that you shall be feared.

In your word is my hope.
Glory to the Father and to the Son
and to the Holy Spirit.

My soul is waiting for you, O Lord:
in your word is my hope.

AllLord Jesus, you are the one who is to come,
the one whom we await with longing hearts.

Magnificat

1. My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour;
he has looked with favour on his lowly servant.

2 From this day all generations will call me blessed;
the Almighty has done great things for me
and holy is his name.

3 He has mercy on those who fear him,
from generation to generation.

4 He has shown strength with his arm
and has scattered the proud in their conceit,

5 Casting down the mighty from their thrones
and lifting up the lowly.

6 He has filled the hungry with good things
and sent the rich away empty.

7 He has come to the aid of his servant Israel,
to remember his promise of mercy,

8 The promise made to our ancestors,
to Abraham and his children for ever.

Glory to the Father and to the Son
and to the Holy Spirit;
as it was in the beginning is now
and shall be for ever. Amen.

Lord Jesus, you are the one who is to come,
the one whom we await with longing hearts.

A song for today...

I watch the sunrise loo
Lighting the sky
Casting its shadows near
And on this morning
Bright though it be
I feel those shadows
Near me

But you are always close to me
Following all my ways
May I be always close to you
Following all your ways, Lord

I watch the sunlight
Shine through the clouds
Warming the earth below
And at the mid-day
Life seems to say
I feel your brightness
Near me

For you are always close to me
Following all my ways
May I be always close to you
Following all your ways, Lord

I watch the sunset fading away
Lighting the clouds with sleep
And as the evening closes its eyes
I feel your brightness near me

For you are always close to me
Following all my ways
May I be always close to you
Following all your ways, Lord

I watch the moonlight
Guarding the night
Waiting 'til morning comes
The air is silent
Earth is at rest
Only your peace is near me

Yes, you are always close to me
Following all my ways
May I be always close to you
Following all your ways, Lord

Yes, you are always close to me
Following all my ways
May I be always close to you
Following all your ways, Lord
