Today at Keystone, we had the privilege of welcoming Daniel Amstutz and his wife Tracy from Colorado, USA. Daniel brought a powerful message challenging us to recognise who we really are in Christ.

SUNDAY TAKEAWAY 🙌

“Yes, We Are That Church!”

Sunday's message wasn't simply about what kind of church Keystone should be. It was a challenge to every believer about the message we're carrying into the world.

Andrew brought us back to three things from Mark 1:14–15:

Believe the Gospel, the truth of God's Word.

Repent from unbelief, change the way we think where our beliefs don't line up with the Word.

Proclaim the Kingdom — make known the good news that the Kingdom of God has come.

We can't just gather on Sundays, hear the Word and then go quiet for the rest of the week.

There are people around us who need to hear about Jesus.

And as Andrew reminded us, we're not called to argue with people. We're called to speak the truth in love, demonstrate God's love and pray for people.

The question is, what sound are we making when we leave church?

Where are we compromising?

That was the question raised towards the end of Sunday's service.

Sometimes compromise isn't something big or obvious.

It's staying quiet when we know we should speak. It's allowing our behaviour to contradict what we say we believe. It's making decisions based on what people might think rather than what the Word says.

And sometimes it's simply choosing the easier option.

The challenge isn't to look at everybody else's lives and identify where they're getting things wrong.

It's to examine our own.

Where have we allowed compromise to creep in?

And what needs to change?

DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO NEEDS HEALING? ❤️

Sometimes we know people who are going through so much physically, and we wish there was something we could do to help.

Well, one thing we can do is invite them to hear what God's Word says about healing.

This Sunday, Daniel Amstutz will be joining us at Keystone Church for a special healing service.

If you need healing yourself, or you know someone who does, why not come along together?

You don't have to be part of Keystone, and you don't have to have been to church before. Everyone is welcome.

If we don't speak the Gospel, how will people hear it?

In Mark 1, John the Baptist went out proclaiming the message God had given him. Then people came to hear it.

But what if John had stayed quiet?

There are people around us who may never hear the Gospel unless somebody is willing to speak.

At work, in our neighbourhoods, among our friends and families, we have opportunities to tell people about Jesus.

We don't need to have all the answers or know every scripture. We need to be willing to open our mouths and share the good news.

As PastorAndrew challenged us on Sunday, if we don't proclaim the message, how can we expect people to respond to it?

Are we making our faith known, or are we keeping quiet because we’re worried about what people might think?

Jesus said:

“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” — Matthew 5:14

Our faith isn’t something we should hide.

Whether we’re at work, with family, talking to our neighbours or going about everyday life, we have opportunities to let people see and hear the Gospel.

As Pastor Andrew challenged us on Sunday, we’ve got to stop being ashamed of what we believe.

Don’t hide your light. Let it shine.
