Good Friday will start as usual with a service at St Thomas Church at 9.30am, followed at 10am by a Walk of Witness around Liscard before the 11.15am Service at Claremount led by Revd Noel Sharp

An extension of our normal coffee morning/warm space lunch; this week was happy days at Claremount as we all tucked into a delicious fish & chip lunch (with some very green mushy peas). Thanks to the Big Fish on Grove Road who opened especially which meant our amazing cook could have a day off and enjoy her own fish and chips

Time to step back from the noise and bustle and look back to a simpler time. Come and sing those old carols in the gentle candlelight. Listen to the well known readings, hear our Praise Singers once again singing Holy Night. Go home in a different mood to take you forward to the days ahead.

What a splendid occasion, the Claremount Christmas Fayre! Lots of laughter and good humour, the ukulele band, a busy kitchen and Father Christmas to boot! Well done everyone and especially all the visitors who came to buy our wares.

Nearly Christmas already so it must be time for Claremount’s Christmas Fayre (or is it Fair?)
Pop in for a bacon butty or mince pie. There’ll be carols, Father Christmas, and as always, plenty of good cheer!

Remembering the fallen – 80 years

Claremount Church will be open for quiet reflection of a time we mostly push to the back of our minds. On 8th November between 1-3 pm and Tuesday from 1-4pm. Coffee and tea (loads of biscuits) will be available throughout this time plus somebody to listen to your thoughts. The enormous amount of poppies have been made by so many groups: the congregation of course, the uniformed organisations, St George’s over the road, etc. etc. Please come and see for yourself. Everyone welcome.
