Transform Weekend will not be running again in 2022.
After an enforced break of two years, some unavoidable team absences this year; and with Covid continuing to provide an uncertain and time-consuming-changeable landscape, we are not able to run the weekend again this year.
Looking back over the five years that we have run Transform Weekend.
We:
give thanks for so many opportunities it created to transform individuals and churches.
are grateful for all the people who have given time, energy, and skills to ensure that the weekend was always a success.
take with us many happy memories of friendships made over a barbeque or a late-night chat
are immensely grateful for all those who have given to enable Transform Weekend to run, and so that we could also give to a local charity each year.

Please join us for an evening celebration
May 21st details being finalised, to include an evening thanksgiving service.
We believe that it is right to get together this summer to celebrate God’s goodness, to remember the way that He has worked through Transform Weekend, to give thanks for all that it has been to so many people and to collectively entrust the future to Him. Please put this date in your diary and join us for an evening of catching up with old friends, thanksgiving, worship, and teaching.
What about the future of Transform Weekend?
We have been led to the conclusion that this is the end of the journey for the weekend. Southwell and Nottingham Diocese has changed tremendously since our journey began, many people have joined us, and many friends have moved away. We believe that our desire to see small churches enabled, to see individuals develop, and to offer a weekend at as low a cost as possible is as relevant now as it was when we began. Today it needs a different team and a different implementation.
What will happen to the equipment and any remaining money that we have?
All the equipment funded jointly between Transform Weekend and local churches will remain with those churches.
We have paid deposits for the weekend and for two marquees and folding chairs. We hope to be able to arrange a transfer of any of this to church organisations if anyone has a need. We hope to be able to negotiate some flexibility in dates, quantities, and location. If you might be able to use these please contact Paul Lake (07554 664 831, [email protected].)
We have a working float that we maintain each year to enable us to run the next weekend. This will be transformed into a number of small grants, up to £250, for churches to invest in “Transforming Mission”. Consistent with Transform Weekend’s aim to enable transformation in smaller churches, please download a grant application form and apply. These will be allocated against our criteria on a first-come-first-given basis.
At the beginning of 2022, as we each explore what a new year with its unique opportunities and challenges will bring us, we pray that God will continue to transform your walk with Him and that you would see the blessings that He is showering on you as you journey.
Every blessing
Richard Kellett, Fiona Shouler, Sam Hustwayte, Anna Alls, Brian Tatum, Richard Greenwood, Maggie Bates and Paul Lake.
