God of sorrow and joy,
we bring before you the ache of our world and the wounds of our own communities.
Hold in your tender mercy all who live with the memory of violence and loss,
and all places where fear and harm overshadow daily life.
In Christ, who promises that pain will turn into joy,
stand with those who serve your Church in challenging and fragile times.
By your Spirit, guide us in the work of healing, reconciliation and peacemaking.
Renew our courage, deepen our compassion,
and weave our lives into your great tapestry of hope,
that your risen joy may yet be known among us. Amen.

Lord, we pray for all who are depressed and feel defeated by life. Bring your healing to all who are broken, ease their pain and touch them with your Holy Spirit, that their sorrow will turn into joy. We ask that you will wrap your ever-loving arms around all who suffer, that they may rejoice and walk in the redeeming light of loving and being loved by you. Amen.

You are God, everlasting
You are the Prince of Peace
Loving God, we pray for peace
The perfect peace that only you can give

We worry, cry and sometimes we shout
“When will the bad things stop?”

Take our worry and fear from us
Bring an end to fighting and war
Give us peace in our hearts and keep us praying
Take wrongfulness from us guide us to goodness
Make us channels of your peace
Use us to build your Kingdom here on earth
Take us into the darkness to shine your light
Make us holy so when people meet us, they meet you

We pray for those who work to bring peace to the world;
Children of God bringing peace to everyone so no one is left out

Bless us and keep us
Give peace to us
Fill our hearts and our minds with the love of Jesus Christ
Everlasting God, Prince of Peace

Jesus, light of liberation and source of our deliverance, whose mother’s heart was pierced as you were proclaimed a sign destined to be rejected, come near to us as we pray for the world.

We look to you in our trials and tribulations, trusting that you who have conquered death might bring us life and hope.

Where there is injustice help us to pray for a new dawn. Where the forces of the world seem intent on destruction, help us to stand firm in the conviction that God is good, all the time.

Grant us your Spirit, that even in our suffering we may rejoice that we share in your way of truth and life. Amen.

What a wonderful weekend of Harvest Celebrations. Great social event last night followed by a lovely service today led by Richard and our Junior Church made complete by our beautiful display of harvest produce.
