Day 2 - The Spirit Broods over Creation ✨

Today, let us pray that the Holy Spirit would move over the lives of our Five, bringing light and life where they need it most.

Eternal God, eternal Trinity,
You are a mystery as deep as the sea; the more I search, the more I find, and the more I find the more I search for You. But I can never be satisfied; what I receive will ever leave me desiring more. When You fill my soul, I have an ever-greater hunger, and I grow more famished for Your light. I desire above all to see You, the true light, as You really are.

Amen 🙏

Members of St George's took part in the annual Walk of Witness in Wakefield.
As we walked in silence witness to the people of Wakefield, we contemplated Christ's journey to the cross.

Holy Week is the most important week in the Christian year, when we remember the events of the last week of the earthly life of Jesus Christ, our Saviour.

We had a good morning with Wellspring and Bishop Malcolm.
We were talking about the love that our Church has for the community of Lupset and all the people who live here.
We discussed some of the things we do: open up the church as a place of welcome, prayer, worship together every Sunday at 10:45am and Thursday at 10:00am, Bible study on Monday morning, Foodbank Lunch on Tuesdays, Table Youth Club on Wednesday at 6pm, Craft group in Church on Thursday at 10:00am, all our fun days with activities for children, Junior Church, Home groups, prayer groups, work and services with our local schools, partnership and volunteering work with St George’s Centre, Christians against poverty, we visit and take services at Snapethorpe Hall and Bembridge, we run nurture groups for new Christians, social events and seasonal special services where we always welcome our community.
St George’s Church loves Lupset and we love the people who live here. You are always welcome to join us. Come along this Sunday 10:45am 🙏❤️🙏
