St Catherine's Church Centre A vibrant, open and inclusive church and community centre in the heart of Wakefield, West Yorkshire. The Recovery Café runs Thursday's from 4pm - 6pm.

St Catherine’s is a diverse community, with a rich life of worship, prayer and community engagement. We seek through our church, community activities and pastoral care to make the Christian faith relevant and accessible. Our ministry is rooted in the care of the vulnerable and disadvantaged and our purpose built community centre provides a range of award-winning services and projects. The centre h

osts a bustling Community Café providing low cost, wholesome freshly cooked meals and snacks. Our Elderly Day Care Service provides transport to and from the Centre, a range of activities and a nutritional two course lunch. Our pioneering Recovery Café provides a welcoming and non-judgemental space for service users affected by mental health problems. Users can come along and help prepare the food or simply sit together and socialise. Specialist workers are available who can help clients access support or simply provide a listening ear. Our Community Choir welcomes people of all musical abilities. The choir practices Thursday's from 7pm - 8pm. All are welcome to join. We also provide conference/meeting facilities for local community groups and businesses and other activities designed to help alleviate poverty and promote social justice.

We’re back!
We’re looking forward to starting our baby and toddler group again on Friday 4th September.
We can’t wait to catch up with our lovely families, and welcome some new faces to the group.
As we’re getting ready to start the new term, we’re also thinking of all the little ones who have now moved on to new adventures at nursery or school. We’ll miss seeing them but hope that they’re settling in happily.
