St Catherine's Church Centre A vibrant, open and inclusive church and community centre in the heart of Wakefield, West Yorkshire. The Recovery Café runs Thursday's from 4pm - 6pm.

St Catherine’s is a diverse community, with a rich life of worship, prayer and community engagement. We seek through our church, community activities and pastoral care to make the Christian faith relevant and accessible. Our ministry is rooted in the care of the vulnerable and disadvantaged and our purpose built community centre provides a range of award-winning services and projects. The centre h

osts a bustling Community Café providing low cost, wholesome freshly cooked meals and snacks. Our Elderly Day Care Service provides transport to and from the Centre, a range of activities and a nutritional two course lunch. Our pioneering Recovery Café provides a welcoming and non-judgemental space for service users affected by mental health problems. Users can come along and help prepare the food or simply sit together and socialise. Specialist workers are available who can help clients access support or simply provide a listening ear. Our Community Choir welcomes people of all musical abilities. The choir practices Thursday's from 7pm - 8pm. All are welcome to join. We also provide conference/meeting facilities for local community groups and businesses and other activities designed to help alleviate poverty and promote social justice.

Are you the carer of a loved one and looking for a day to recharge where you have the comfort of knowing your loved one will be well cared for, or know someone who is suffering with dementia or who lives on their own and is feeling isolated and lonely? Well maybe we can help.
Here at St Catherine’s elderly day care centre we now have places available for people to come join our dementia friendly day centre. We offer door to door transport, breakfast and lunch. Our days are filled with fun and laughter if you’d like more information please get in touch on 01924 211130

Our baby and toddler group is meeting again on Friday. This week, we are very pleased to welcome a visitor from the Families and Babies charity (FAB), who will be offering breastfeeding and infant feeding advice and support to anyone who would like it.
This will be our last session before the half term break, and then we’ll be meeting again on Friday 5th June.
Free parking is available in both the Conservative Club car park and the Trinity Rugby Club car park.
