Yesterday two of our regular parishioners Adrian and Diane celebrated 40 years of marriage . During the service they renowned their vows with Revd Stephanie and afterwards the celebrations continued as the congregation shared cake. Congratulations to you both and may you have many more happy years together .

Today we sadly said goodbye to the lovely Megan who has being on a two year training placement with us at St John’s before her ordination . Megan preached during her last service and was joined by her supportive husband Matthew . We then all shared a wonderful bring & share buffet . She is now beginning her curacy at St Mary’s Horbury . We would like to thank Megan for her all her hard work at St John’s and we will miss her teaching , great sense of humour, creative ideas and infectious smile . Keep in touch Megan you will be greatly missed and will always have a place in the St John’s family xx

We have had a very busy few weeks in JJs with out younger church family members . Last week we all built the road to Emmaus and today we looked at how we find our way using paths , maps and compasses . We made a sign post with arrows point to the way , the truth and life . We each made a paper plate compass to remind ourselves that “ Jesus is the way”
