Polzeath Family Mission

Polzeath Family Mission Polzeath Family Mission (PFM) has been running for over 65 years. PFM offers a range of activities throughout the day for all ages.

We are a group of enthusiastic and dynamic Christians from all over Britain who want to share the truth about Jesus Christ in a contemporary way that is relatable to people of all ages. In the morning we have 'Start together' This is were we can meet together to join in some prayer, worship and learn about the days topic

After 'Start Together' we have different age group activities where the you

ng people can learn more about the day's topic, play games and have fun. In the younger group they will sing songs and they might make a craft. In the afternoon we are on the beach for beach games and sand castle making fun. After tea (Evening meal) we meet up again in our age groups for more fun and games, often involving puddings. for more information on how you can join us on team check out the Scipture Union Webpage in the volunteer section.

Morning all

Looking forward to a sunny day today.
Lots of encouragements from yesterday. It was breezy which meant we couldn’t do some things (like use our gazebo on the beach or even have parachute games).

Today’s main event is the evening family Olympics on the beach at 7pm.
Morning and afternoon activities as usual.

Prayer/praise points
- good engagement with new families
- ⁠a good turn out to the sand modelling competition (some came as a result of the tug of war)
- ⁠the tug of war went well
- ⁠pray for a good day today, especially for lots of families to come tonight
- ⁠pray for those who heard the Bible stories yesterday who have no Bible input back home

Morning everyone
Windy but should be dry today

11:00 coffee tent
11:15 children’s programme on the beach
11:15 teens on the beach
2:15 tug of war
2:30 children’ programme on the beach

Also hoping to do
- 1:30 parents’ penalties
- ⁠4:45 family sand modelling

Prayer points
- not too windy so we can put the coffee tent gazebo up
- ⁠being able to meet families
- ⁠the events mentioned
- ⁠the few families we did actually manage to see yesterday

Luke 9: 10-17 today for the well known verses about loaves and fishes

A good time on the beach with several children joining in with the afternoon programme after a slow start to the day
Pray for those who took away books and bracelets at the end of the session
Pray for energy for the team, a couple of people are flagging
Pray for wisdom in terms of what we can and can't do today

Lunch with Levi (Luke 5:27-32)

Pray for a more balanced day weather wise - it was quite unsettled yesterday with fewer people on the beach.
Pray for those families from PFM whose kids and grandkids are on the beach and the teaching they are receiving.
Pray for the families not linked to PFM who have been engaging, that they will hear the good news of Jesus and trust in Him.
Give thanks for the teenagers who joined us yesterday on the beach and last night at the house.
Pray for the team as we continue to plan and run the week

We are looking at interactions over meals with Jesus in Luke’s Gospel, today was 'at Mary and Martha’s' (Luke 10:38-42) and tomorrow will be 'Supper at Simon’s' (Luke 7:36-50)

Give thanks for the activities that ran today - coffee house, games and Bible time, tug of war, holiday special and teen volleyball.
pray for those who spoke to team members, a few on the beach and some from the coffee house.
Pray for those families who have returned today and for the teens who engaged today and for those who will engage tomorrow - we plan to run a teen event down in the marguee tomorrow night from 7:00pm - games and things and a short talk.

I've been reflecting on 70 years of mission on Polzeath beach and what impact we may have had in all this time. It's led me to looking back at this page and smiling at my family memories in the 19 years we've been involved with the mission, the connections we've made, the fellowship we've shared and the pieces of cake eaten and games played.

Teenagers volleyball will start after the tug of war, so around 2:30, we are hoping to set up the volleyball net close by the board

Give thanks for 70 years of mission in Polzeath
Pray for those who will be at the beach tomorrow, for those families who are connected to PFM as well as holiday makers we will meet.
Pray for the team as the programme kicks in.
For the coffee house, and games and Bible time in the morning.
Then for the holiday special and teen volleyball and talk in the afternoon.

Welcome everybody; so excited to meet you all
😀 😀
we will be running the coffee tent on a morning Monday to Friday as well as running activities on the beach.
Games in the morning 11:15 to 12:30 and the afternoon activities from around 2:15-3:30. We also hope to do some craft activities over lunch

Give thanks that 12 out of 13 team members have arrived safely
Pray for our 13th team member who will be travelling tomorrow.
Pray for energy for those who have come from a mission in Mumbles (Swansea) last week, there are 4 of us.
Pray for good opportunities on the beach tomorrow afternoon.
Pray that the message of the Gospel will impact people's hearts and lives over the next two weeks
